1. You don't have to ask. I'll be praying for them when I see my 9 yr old daughter after work today.
2. Chuckle - your wish is my command. I'd prefer a plainer brochure type picture if you can find one, but the real key is getting the prototypes made, and I think G&V is looking into that.
3. This particular KURY part bolts to the floorboard. I'm trying to avoid the bar BC of the flexing.
4. Thats probably the default colour from the molding. Once it's all assembled I'm sure they'll paint it a proper motorcycle colour...
5. I'm looking at the KURY 4549 Adjustable Cruise Peg Mounts (pr) Fits: Yamaha: Road Star & V Star 950, 1100, & 1300 with stock floorboards I know they don't list the RSTD, but when I look at the parts catalogue on the Yamaha website, i see that the VSTAR 1300 and the RSTD have the same part # for the floorboard, 4NK-27451-10. Does anyone know a reason why I can't mount those on my RSTD? Thanks
6. Kindly see RSTC patch version 1 above. As far as colour goes, im using photos for layout purposes bcause I cant draw worth a damn. Any thread colour can be used once the design is set, so getting a representative colour sample for the classic shouldnt be too hard. One thing to remember here, everyone: Price will depend largely on the size of the production run and every time we change colours we probably impact the price...
7. RSTC Ver 1
8. Shouldn't be a problem. Is the same pic alright? Which word do you want changed?
9. Version 3. As far as colour goes, the last model year for the RSTD only had red and charcoal/black as far as I can find out. I'll need similar quality and presentation photos to try to fit in other colours. Glad to have you back in G&V
10. I've pushed as far as I can with the design. I'm nobody's artist I've invited G&V back into the conversation to offer some advice on final adjustments to the design, colour options, sizes, etc. Whatever else happens I'm in for 2 of each size.
11. I think this 'pops' a little more ... Once we get pretty close, I'm gonna PM Golf&Venture to give it the final touch, and organize sales/production, if he'd be willing to. I know some people are suggesting a company, but G&V's a member, and he did good with the Venture patches...
12. Hope the attachment works - just an idea for comment...
13. Hope this works - its just the germ of an idea - tweaking and size relationships between the elements will be necessary, I think.
14. I'd really think about riding it..... can't imagine any other reason to buy it.
15. have you checked the switches on the brakes and clutch? If one of those sticking closed it might have the described effect.
16. The RSTD does not have a fairing or a trunk. Thus it does not ride like a 2 wheeled station wagon. No intercom, which tend to mute the whining and complaining. No CB radio or cassette player, so you are free to choose and use modern entertainment and communications. No - really guys, I'm just kidding - oh what have I done, I'd better get the flame proof suit out - OW STOP HITTING ME!
17. I'll be keeping a good thought...
18. I'd be interested in an RSTD patch
19. Chuck at Customer Service: "Tang yuu fur culling Cooostimur Sorrveese. My nam iss Chuck" Me: "Good morning Chuck. May I speak to someone who speaks English?" Chuck: "Thess iss vary goud Engliss I am speaking to you now sir!" Me: - Hang Up - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I was feeling down last week so I called the suicide hot-line. I got a call centre in Pakistan. The counselor got very excited. Wanted to know if I could drive a truck. Bastards.
20. I think that's kinda my question. Never seen or heard of one. I suppose I could mock up a design if there's any interest, but I'd have thought there might already be a design out there...
21. This is probably a silly question - has anyone done an RSTD patch?
22. My V* 950 (since traded) picked up a wierd buzzing sound one day. Only occurred at speed, stopped at idle. I rode around and rode around listening, trying to pinpoint it. Got off and revved the engine to listen. Pushed this pulled that shook the other thing. Couldnt find it. Next day the noise was gone. Couldn't see anything different. 3 days later it came back. Thats when it hit me. I was wearing my cold weather jacket. I keep a key in each of my 2 jackets just so I don't jave to go swapping around stuff... The key in my cold weather jacket had the little metal tab with the key number on it and that was vibrating against the ring aroung the ignition... Sometimes it's the silliest thing...
23. So we're using a three letter abbreviation for a 5 character name? Yay for efficiency! I used to say my dream job in the Canadian military would be the TLA SME at the OAG. I wanted to be the -Three Letter Acronym- -Subject Matter Expert- at the -Office of Acronym Generation-.
24. Glad the ride is a go. Eye protection is important. wear your Oakleys
