1. Happy BELATED Birthday!!!!!!!!!!:Happy Birthday: Brad should have said something and we could have had a coffee at least.
2. Same here made my own from small car hitch(cut it down to fit) Made my own wiring patch also since I needed it right away to go to maintenance day last year or I would have bought them from the members on sight. Also dealer wouldn't install because of liability issues . Usually takes 1/2 hour to remove saddle bags, hitch and disconnect harness then put in original spacer so I can take in for dealer service then change back when I get it home. They know I tow a trailer as I showed up a few times with bike I traded in(2000 Road-star) to buy 2012 Venture.
3. Thanks for the camp grounds. In laws said they stayed at KOA campgrounds before. We were thinking on reservations but they would sooner wait till we get there. Was also wondering about places to sight-see while there.
4. Got lights and DID go for a few hours ride. Visited with Brad & Rhonda and had coffee then left for a ride. Will work later. Thanks again!
5. Phantom Wife, myself & brother and sister-in-laws will be trying out motorcycle camping the last week of our holidays in July(2nd week). They are thinking in this area as in-laws camped in the area (by car) years ago so it will be an adventure I am thinking!!! Any ideas for where to go while here? Am thinking on showing up at BongoBob's sometime along the way. Will be definitely showing them the restaurant we had our last breakfast at last year. ANY help will be appreciated!!!!
6. That's the same bike I would have bought BUT $30,000 ++++++ was one of the MAIN reasons not to buy along with THE HEAT! Otherwise really nice bike. Main thing I did like was the frame attached fairing and dual headlights. BUT am NOT sorry I bought 2012 Venture! Let's ride!
7. Here are a few BAD pictures of trailer -black is hard to get pictures. Got old brackets cut and ground off last night.Used flap wheel which caused less sparks. Just getting ready to weld spacer pieces to bracket which I will eventually BOLT to frame with grade8 bolts. Might have to wait as it is really sunny right now so do I go for ride or work on trailer? Getting really hard to think as there are a lot of bikes driving by. Will see. THANKS AGAIN for your response!!!!!!!!
8. Need to know how safe it is to grind off the original spring mounts from a home-made fiberglass trailer.Had new axle and springs made and original mounts are in wrong place to reuse and also make trailed too high.Frame is steel but fiberglass is pretty close and have heard it is flammable? Any ideas????? If I can grind off old mounts it would be possible to bolt new ones on instead of welding.
9. I bet the caption would be I know that the picture taker is going to use this for a caption opportunity at MY EXPENSE!!!!!!!!!!!! Well let them have their fun!!!!!!!!!!! I am having a great time trying to figure one myself!
10. I have new 2012 Venture and am with TD Insurance(Primmum Insurance) with full coverage because new and it is a total of $1100 . Says it is because of area and ridding to work distance. Also coverage up to 10,000klms annually (which I surpassed by just over 3500klms)LOVE MY BIKE!!!! Don't regret buying it over Harley one bit!!!!! Can't really get cheaper because of financing! Also a bit high because of accident 4years ago.
11. Nice bike!!!!! But Phantom wife still likes the red fleck we have in our 2012.Shows up in the sun lite!
12. I bought a 2012RSV in May 2012 and it does come with a 2gig I-pod Shuffle(U.S. gets an 8gig as I have heard) When I bought it the dealer got a-hold of Yamaha and it was shipped to them and then I went and picked it up.
13. I'm with you saddlebum! Phantom Wife bought me a Toshiba with windows 8 to replace my HP. WHAT a PAIN! Still on the HP as I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to use new one.She keeps threatening to keep it herself if I don't start using it.
14. Very nice work!!!!!!! Wish I had the skill to do that to my 87. Also might be practical in a few years. Also could almost ride all year the way the weather is going in the past few years.
15. Best wishes and speedy recovery to you! Both Phantom Wife(Beverly) and I hope everything goes well! Hope to see you soon.
16. Went for 4hr ride yesterday and visited a few people. Went to Brad & Rhonda's but they weren't home. Wanted to go out today but Phantom won't let me.Got to keep her happy. Might sneak out later tho.

R.I.P.

Just lost the last of my brothers and sisters yesterday. Brother Jack was 15 years older than me.He has been in nursing home for past 10 years at least with alsimers and dimentcia (spell checker didn't correct these )He will be missed.
19. I thought it was TONIGHT at midnight(according to people I have talked to) even a radio station has an End Of The World party going on today and tonight and if it doesn't end then they are invited to a redemtion party tomorrow.
20. I was also out and about Sat. on the bike. It was pretty nice out!. Met a few other people who were riders but have their bikes in storage.Later on it started to rain so had to put the bike back in the garage till another nice day.Today isn't a nice day as it was pouring on and off all morning.
21. SilverT I bought the 2012 in May and it has the 5 year warranty. Wish Yamaha gave Canada the roadside assistance as the U.S. does. Also the bigger I-pod(Canada gets 2gig one and U.S. gets an 8gig I think. Just turned 13,000klms and would not trade for any other bike. Thanks Freebird & MarCarl ! Phantom Wife liked your comments about trailer and riding position.
22. My first bike was an RD350. It was a great bike and also almost bought one last year. Had it for 4 years until it needed rebuild.
23. Got the back brakes done plus the 12000klm service yesterday. Mechanic also changed plugs and oil(engine & rear end oil). He checked out front brakes and says that I should be more aggressive on using front brakes to stop instead of slowly using brakes to stop.Says it is probably build-up between pads that makes the noise and feeling I get. When I went to leave bike almost stalled when accelerating so I mentioned it seemed to be runing on 3 cylinder which he said he changed plus band it was fine when he took it for ride so he tried throttle and went across lot and said it seemed fine. Left again and go a few yards up road and went back and said it was still running on 3 cylinders which he finally tried throttle again and shut off bike and said "wait a minute" and then shut off bike and checked plug wires and guess what front plug wire was NOT secured. Tried it again and was great. $300 later I went home .No more problems>
24. Going in tomorrow to get service and also replace back brake pads as there is a metal on metal sound so using front right now.Figured should get more than 11500klms before having to change brakes.Might get them to change fronts because when slowing down is fine but the make noise when they come to a stop. Sometimes they will squeel just before stopping.
25. chabicheka you forgot up hill also! Also there must have a big difference in options between the black and the blue cars to make a $6000 difference. Dealer should have known that before trade don't you think?
