  1. Does anyone here in Ontario know where I can buy some original (NOT Lemon or Orange scented) Pledge? I have checked all grocery stores/dollar/variety and drug stores around here and have not found any.
  2. I made mine out of old car hitch cut down to fit with 1/4" plate up inside fender support. Some dealers(Yamaha) told me that sometimes Yamaha would not warranty something that towing could have caused. So I take it off just in-case--usually only takes about 1/2 hour.
  3. Can't wait!!
  4. Well I will finally be able to go on the Wed. ride which I usually don't get to go on because of working midnights. Is it still on? When?--time? Where starting?
  5. This brought back my experience I encountered last year at a traffic light in town where I had a lady bump into me and almost pushed me into a Corvette. I also normally always check on traffic behind me and this time I forgot. Luckily I was able to stay upright and not hit anything else and it was a slow impact. Thoughts go out to these people and their family's!
  6. May-be Penny Pincher ???
  7. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see it. Plus it will be MUCH easier to do U-TURNS as you don't have to worry about falling over if wheel is turned too far.
  8. I have 2012 and it is Black with red flecks that show up in sunlight. Didn't realize this until mechanic showed us when we picked it up.
  9. Well thanks for the visit Carl & Saddlebum even tho it was a short one. In my defence I had worked midnight shift over-time and had gone on a ride with Phantom Wife(about a 100klm or better) so I was about getting ready to get some sleep in a while.
  10. :Happy Birthday::Happy Birthday:And all the the things that go with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Just got back from riding for first time this year. Haven't been this late getting out in a long time. Usually out in early March or earlier but not this year. Only had 3 caggers not see me. Rode around for a few hours then met brother in law at my house and talked for a while. was going to go out with him and his wife but have to get some sleep as I work midnights.
  12. I don't know about most other people but I leave mine on all the time--much better to be seen!
  13. Welcome to your new bike!!!! I did the second gen in 2012 and don't regret it. Altho the Harley would have been nice BUT like you I prefer drive-shaft and liquid cooling over belt. AND a lot less to pay off ! I have seen it before and you have a nice one there. It looked well maintained. I also STILL have my 87 that I hope to put back on road someday. Doesn't look good right now as working 6 days a week sort of cuts down on available time. Have a few fairings that have to be repaired and get motor running again etc.
  14. Like every-one else has said there is nothing I could add but hope things work out whatever they may be.
  15. Congrat's and enjoy. you deserve it!
  16. Happy New Year to one and all from Phantom Wife, my self @ family!
  17. sorry for your loss! Our condolences!
  18. Don't know about U.S. warranty(as everything seems different between our two countries) but here in Ontario Canada my dealers told me that many people do pull trailers BUT if there is damage done that mama Yamaha might not repair under warranty as they are not made to pull trailers. Pretty sure owners manual says this also.
  19. I got there around 10:15am. Did drive around outside roads then parked first road past where police were directing traffic when you came into Dover. Was that Gambler I saw on road by tennis court when we were diverted onto east side road? there were a couple of Royal Star Ventures on east side of road.
  20. Sorry to hear your trip is getting near to its end. Hope you had a great trip! Sorry to have missed see you again but hope to see you again and I will try very hard to introduce Phantom Wife to you!
  21. I too like Freebird have looked for years since I bought my 87VR back in 2002 but had no luck. Like Brake Pad's post for the wooden models being made. If we could get a group buy I would be interested in one of my 1987 & 2012. Did find a model of my ROAD STAR at Harley swap meet 2 years ago.Brand new in box for $15. Traded bike but kept model.
  22. Is this a type of cyber-bullying?? JMHO
  23. Didn't buy trailer! Needed too much. Smelled really musty. Was stored outside with no cover and leaked. Everything was damp and smelled.Guy ripped back pannel when he tried to zip it up. Seen a couple people on site that had one like this trailer.Phantom said she wasn't interested when she seen it but let me look it over anyway. Thought it over and we decided to not buy it. Later thought I should have bought it and scrapped tent to use as cargo trailer instead. O-well.
  24. going to look at tent trailer later today. Phantom is going also to give her opinion.Tent part is canvas so it is older style. They say it doesn't leak.Looks to be in good shape. Has 2 fold out areas with double beds and hard top. Any sugestions on what to look for?
  25. Had 2000 model and put 65000klms(3 years). Loved it .Same comments as others about mileage/ performance etc.Had aftermarket seat on it which helped. Check out the web-site for the bike---almost as good as this site for imformation etc.
