  1. From where did you order them and how did you apply for the discount?
  2. I did a temporary one connecting directly to the battery. I used high quality electrical tape to mount it to the bar near the seat. Unless you're looking for it, you don't see it. Nice, temporary installation until I get the stuff to do a permanent one.
  3. Did you recently change the spark plugs? If so, you might need noise suppressors on them or resitor plugs.

Ear buds, headsets, etc. are not permitted by most state laws when operating motor vehicles. They limit your ability to hear what's going on around you. The exception in some states is the single-ear intercom between driver/passenger or other bike riders. You'd be better off giving the MP3 player to the passenger.
  5. I did this trip several times. Once up I-95. Ok, not great. Once through MA and CT, I was stopping to visit friends. It's the long way to Maine but a nice ride. My preference is north on I-87 in NY then Rt 6 across Vermont and New Hampshire. Ben & Jerry's is in Vermont. Go to the Auto Road in New Hampshire. Wonderful ride up a gravel road to the top of Mt Washington, 6288 feet up, takes about a half hour. I have ridden up this twice on my '84 Venture Royale. I hike up once, also, taking the Cog Railroad back down. Oh, there's a post office at the top of the mountain. And remember, when you see fog... it's really a cloud. If you can, stop at the The Littleton Diner‎. It's a quaint little diner that serves a great breakfast. In Maine, I camped at Quiet Side Campground‎ near Bass Harbor (they have cabins, too). In Seawall, on the end of the penninsula, there is a camp store that sells just about everything a camper/hiker would need, including fresh steamed lobster. They even rent showers by the minutes. You're not far from Bar Harbor. Make reservations at the campground before you go. If you have the time, take the ferry over to Nova Scotia (all night trip) then ride back. I haven't done this but a friend of mine did, he said it was a wonderful experience. It's on my to-do-soon list.
  6. I sat on a n E&H a while back. The handlebar angle was completely wrong for my wrists. It felt like I had to hyperextend my wrists out in order to hold the grips. More angle away from the bike centerline would solve the problem. That's all I know about the E&H.

  9. I don't know if you can adjust the angle of your windshield but if you can, set it so the air flow is directed over your head. This might mean angling the windshield back some. Also, I find if I lean in behind the windshield a little there is less buffeting. I ride fast usually, 65-75 on open highways. The little buffeting I get on my Tour Deluxe hasn't bothered me much.
  10. There's a part of the traffic laws concerning lights that don't change. It states that if a traffic light doesn't change within a reasonable amount of time you can consider the light defective. Defective traffic lights are treated as if they were stop signs. StarQ
