I'd like to get a Zumo 660 for the Venture and a J&M CB for the Marauder.
-
Oh, man. I hate hearing that.

You may see us (and the scoot) in a soup commercial

I will, and If I see it on TV I'll see if I can record it and post it. -

Anyone know if you can find this commercial on You tube? I want to see it. What's the name of the commercial? -
Driving behind someone up an on ramp to the freeway and they try to merge into 65 mph traffic going 45 mph.

I like the Vaquero but it looks to me like a Voyager without the trunk and a smaller windshield. I have a Suzuki M95 that's built by Kawasaki (same bike as the Mean Streak) and have had no problems with it at all.

Yesterday I took the bike to Berkeley Yamaha to see what they thought might be able to be done about this problem. They called me back this morning to tell me Yamaha is going to take care of it, replace the outer half of the fairing. Thank everyone for pointing me in that direction. I might not have thought about the warranty if you hadn't suggested it. :) :)

What type terminal strip should I use
uechi kid replied to Midrsv's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I added one of these. I can install accessories to one easy location. It has two always hot, six switched all fused power out puts and a ground block. I put it behind the battery. http://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Products/Fuseboxes/PC-8/pc-8.html -

Well I guess I'll be giving Berkly Yamaha a call on Tuesday (they're closed Mondays) and see what they say. Lone Eagle has dealt with them and says they go out of there way for their customers. I hope that's true. I'll keep you posted. Rich

Just as long as they don't need the bike for that whole time.
-
The dealer I bought the bike from had a bad reputation for service but I went there because the were close. I'm sure the one I will be going to is aware of how bad they were.
-
They'll really cover that under warranty? WOW! The bad part for me is the closest dealer is now about 40 miles away. The one that I bought the bike from, and the only ones that have split the fairing are out of business.
-
I split the fairing yesterday for the first time to install Mic Mutes. When I went to remove the windshield I found three of the six tabs on the outer fairing were broken. Does anyone have a fix for that?

I had cable for years and their high speed Internet (comcast). I finally got fed up with the lousy service and the fact that they continually raised rates. I made the move to Dish (not HD) and went to DSL for my Internet. I have had almost no problems with either. I'd never go back to Comcast. I don't know if it's offered in your area but AT&t has a new TV, Internet and phone service called U-verse. I know a couple of people that have it and like it a lot.

I trained in Uechi Ryu karate for ten years. When I joined a karate forum I used Uechi Kid. I just kept it here.

I'm helping a Friend add the Kisan vectraLight - Brake Light and Turn Signals to his 08 Electra Glide Classic. I'll need to splice into the existing run, turn and brake wiring. To simplify this, Does anyone happen to know what the color code for these wires are? Thanks, Rich

Cassette Deck, why do you have a problem with MORE options?
uechi kid replied to LilBeaver's topic in Watering Hole
We have an 08 RSV. I use every feature of the sound system except the cassette player. Even if Yamaha makes an upgrade with more hi-tech electronics, FI and belt drive I'm not going to buy a new one anyway. The one I have works just fine. It serves all my two up riding needs. As for the cassette deck, it will probably come out this winter and be replaced with gauges.
