Thanks everyone. Finally just got done putting air in forks. I put 4 psi. I hope I never have to do it again... it was a BEEEEATCH! The bike is new to me. It had zero psi front and rear, so probably never had air in either. I put 4 psi front and 30 psi rear. I can tell you the suspension feels different just sitting on the bike and bouncing on the seat a bit. Feels better. Can't wait to roll it!

my suzuki c50 is night and day easier reach, very comfortable. It has adjustable reach levers, imagine. -
clutch and brake levers for gorilla hands?
Bobcatpat replied to Bobcatpat's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I wear a large size glove, and I consider the reach just a bit too far. They are oem levers. -
Can someone tell me why yamaha made clutch and brake levers to fit a gorilla hand? The reach on these levers is rediculously far with no adjustment! And my hands are not small, I'm 6'-0", 190#. Does anyone else agree? Does anyone have a solution?

New Idea for Air Filters
Bobcatpat replied to dlhoulton's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
When I look at a venture, my eye never goes to the airbox, just to the beauty of the rest of the bike. The stock airbox does not bother me a bit. -

Still looking for emblems for both sides.

I stopped at a local shop yesterday to get a quote on venoms. There sat a bike on the floor with venoms installed. The tires had not been road yet, I looked closely, and in the tread were small cracks. No thanks!

Lilbeaver... I purchased a yamaha 12" shield that is also wider than stock. So far I like it a lot better than stock. I am still interested in trying an even lower shield, maybe a 9" or even lower.

Thank you. Friends?

Twigg, you are the one that provoked, not me. Anyone can look back to your first post on this thread to see this clear as day. Enough already. Can we stop now, and all just get along and talk motorcycle???

I will second Captainjoe.

First off Twigg, I have been using this site for some time now. I have enjoyed it and never had an issue until you just joined. I have communicated with several members here over the years and never a problem. Second, I asked to only respond if you have a low windshield simply to keep the thread concise and useful. There are already other windshield threads. I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings. You destroyed the thread by starting an issue with me and turning it into useless info. Third, next time try sending me a private message first if you have an issue with me, rather than post and try to make me look look like I'm inconsiderate. I have a history here, and a very good history. If you would like to start over, I am open. Thank you. End of conversation.

And then you must have glued the cut off piece somehow onto the side of your shield to make it wider? Please explain further???
-
I bought the 12" yamaha wide and like it much better than stock. I still want try an even lower shield as well.

Twigg. Do you have a low windshield for sale?

I never follow any kind of vehicle that could lose an object. pickup trucks an trailers are bad news. I pull a construction trailer with a bobcat loader on it. I always cringe when someone is following me too close, especially if they are on a bike. Sometimes there are small stones or who knows what that could fall off and do harm. I do my best to make sure my load is safe for the road, but people also need to do themselves a favor and not follow too close. Defensive driving... follow at a safe distance, or pass.

anyone have one on their royal star?
