Seemes like this came up when someone asked could it be made in black to match a pair of chaps. Hope this helps David went back and found this. 7. Many thanks go out from me to you. Especially to those who helped on my bike. She is running much better now, Only a bit of low end hesitation. maybe that will work itself out with the tci box repair. Being new to the group I didn't understand the rules at the dairy queen, so Muffiman and minimuffin the next round is on me. Sorry about that. Now as for Jeff my great appreciation goes out to you as you not only took your time to work on my bike but you also took the time to explain to me how ,why, and what you were doing .Thank you very much. This was a great expierience for me as i felt welcome from the start. So to all whop were there, thanks and I'm looking forward to the next ride hat I can make. David

  11. Just recently rode with a group.(109 bikes in all) ther were no problems at all as there were rc posted throughout the gruop and a preride meeting was held over the loud speaker so everyone could hear. now as for the crowding comment I can understand. I got crowded in on the rider in front of me and had to dump the bike in gravel to keep from hitting the lady in front of me. Several ride captains saw the incedent and asked the guy behind me knidly to leave the ride. hope this helps. As has been stated above. the rules should be stated before hand and followed. if not the rc should resolve the situation. Passing was not allowed either and several peaple were asked to leave the ride for that. david
  12. I use that same style tent. Flat and round in the pack, and light so it's easy to carry. Althugh mine is not very tall I solved the problem buy getting one of those small fold out chairs without the arms. 9 bucks at walmart. you know the cloth type. Never have to stand up and still have room to draw and manuver around inside. Got my tent from gander Mountain. Think it was about 50 bucks five years ago. hope this helps. Would add pics but just got in from the woods so I'll try to repost it tomorow David
  13. Wasn't hard to read for me, but then again i've been in a few hunting camps myself. Sounds like the girls had some fun with you huys. Congrats on the kill. David
  14. Don't know if he could have ritten (spelling???) you a speeding ticket, but I do know that from experiance he could have ritten the ticket as excedding a safe speed. That one stuck on me in a similiar situation many years back. hope this helps. David

  18. hey i almost forgot this is buffalo..dont like the weather, just wait a minute.... Hey o thought that was North Carolina David
  19. I completly understand. It took me 20 years after my wreck. i laid one down at 65mph and watched it go under a car and then get ran over by said car. I was lucky enough to get away with it with only a few bruises. The leather and body I can't say was as lucky. My mind took a long time to heal itself. The realisation that at any time somebody could mess up scared me to death. Now I'm back on a bike and have a new wife to boot. Guess I got the best of both worlds. Good luck and all our prayers. Heal well and maybe the mind will come around to let you back on two wheels. David
  20. didn't have time for the oopps pic. Still had 80 or so bikes trying to get in and needed to get her up and moving.
  21. Oh yea forgot to mention. Even old harley riders can learn a few tricks. I read a post on hear a while back ( how to pick up your bike by Skirt) and used it in front of everyone. Then I had to demonstrate it again using the smallest lady in the group and she picked up her husbands full dresser harley. It took 6 of us to put the bike down without a scratch and she brought it up by herself. David
  22. Today we put together about 100 bikes for a dice run. the procedes went to the family of a little girl (8 years old) to help her family pay the bills while they are with her at duke hospital. She is fighting brain cancer. During the ride I thought I was the only yamaha in the group, but at the second stop I soon realized I wasn't. The beautiful road star pulled up behind me. I got a few pics with my camera phone and will post them as soon as I figure out how to resize them. VR site says I can't upload them unless they are under a certain size and I think it is just over. Talked to the owner and his wife about the site so who knows, maybe they will come and visit us. 100 bikes and we raide approximately 3 grand for this little girl and her family. If I had to miss the saint judes ride I guess this is a good excuse. P.S. I dropped my bike coming into the parking lot. Lady in front of me moved over into my line and my choice was to hit her or hit the brakes. Needless to say I chose the brakes and then it was on. gravel doesn't make for good quick stops. no major damage just a few more scratches. Then I proceded to imbarass a few of the harleys when they decided to race the rice burner. When I went into second gear she got scarry strong and picked the front tire up. No more takers after that. I,m broke this week after the charity run but I promise I will send my $5 opps i dropped it fund in next week. David
  23. funny you should ask as my wife and I just took a tride up the Blue Ridge Parkway last weekend. not quite there yet,but still quite beautful
  24. Up here in Iceland we use Polar bear skin! Now there's a unique idea. Can it be shipped to NC..........................
  25. one of the main reasopns i'm considering the deer hide is the availability. I looked into Ikea.com and they are saying that this product is not availible online. The nearest ikea store is in washinton or atlanta. So the ride would cast more than it's worth. I've seen a few on ebay but unsure of the size. Ikea says they size in large or small but the ones on ebay are approximately 37 inches. Plus I've been thinking the brown hide on the burgany bike would look really good.
