  1. I use that port to plug in my GPS, and yes it does control the volume. It does not allow me to skip songs from the gps..only volume. The quality of the speakers is just ok, good to listen to in the garage, not on the highway. Just get yourself a good set of speakers for your helmet and them plug directly into the bike. I have found that this works best for music.
  2. My light bar lights are on all the time...installed by dealer. The more visible you are the better.
  3. Love my Clearview shield, vented...well worth the money. Have had for two years now with minimal scratching. I ride about 15,000 km a year ( a little over 9000 miles ) a year. Enjoy

You can't go wrong with the Garmin Zumo 550. Vibration and waterproof. I have logged about 13,000 miles on mine with no issues. Easy to read in bright sunight, you can load thousands of songs on it, and if you want to pay for the subscription it has XM radio. It wires directy to the battery easily. Bluetooth compatabe. Comes with everything you need right out of the box. I have also dropped this unit 3 times !! with no apparent damage. To me it was worth every penny...I was in Ontario's far north last year, and the Zumo found me a gas station out in the midde of nowhere. Steve
  6. It's a great product! I'd be lost without it in my garage. Makes oil changes so much easier, and is rock solid stable. If you don't have one....get one. You won't be disappointed. Thanks again Larry. Steve
  7. Beautiful scenery, looks like a nice area. Thanks for sharing! Steve
  8. I just purchased the Scala Rider set last week, and I thought it was the biggest piece of junk I have ever used. Sound quality if talking only was just OK, if music was coming in from my Zumo 550..the sound quality was terrible. The unit would go off into standby, while we were having a conversation, and I had to yell my brains out for the unit to turn back on. I'm staying wired in with my J&M's. My two cents worth.
  9. Robert, I have installed two of these magnificent horns, both times very easily. The instructions that came with it was all I used. These horns if I remember correcty have a relay? in the wiring that is supplied. It helps convert enough power to make these horns work. I also used the bracket that Carbon One makes here on this site. Good luck, Steve
  10. I have used both oils in my 07...depends on what is staring me in the face when I go to buy it. Can't tell any difference, between them. Bike runs great with either oil. Hope this helps. Steve
  11. I have been considering one of these since I first saw them on E-Bay last week. thanks for the input...I think I will now order one. What I would like to know is : how hard are they to install ? I have limited knowledge of my fairing. Any advice would help. Thanks, Steve
