  1. Hello everyone who attended the Kitchener Rally. As a new member I really felt welcomed into the group and only wished I would have been able to stay for the whole rally. I lost my passenger push to talk button either on my way out to the Wednesday dinner from Toronto or possible in the parking lot or on the way home. A shot in the dark here just in case someone may have seen the black knob in the parking lot before we all left the Restaurant. The 401 was heavy with construction, so I am sure it probable fell off while I was going over all that uneven pavement.
  2. I'm a new member of about 3 weeks from when I bought my new 07 RSMV. I made it out to the opening day on Sunday with my wife. Thank you, to all of you who made us feel as we have always belonged to the Venture club. We had a great time, met lots of people from both Canada and USA. We both have to work during the week, but I bought a ticket for the Wednesday dinner and will be making my way back out from Toronto. I hope the weather keeps up. Sunday was perfect and today looked no different. I look forward to meeting more of you at other functions and rides.
  3. The best price I could get with all my calling around for a new 07 was $972/year. $500 deductable. The company was Rider Plus.

    Safe travels

Question from a new member in Toronto. I will be working days the week of the Rally. Is there any provisions for a person to ride out in the evening and participate?
  5. Hello I read a post from someone just as I was leaving with my wife to go up north before the weekend, but I can't find it now. There was a person from the Guelph area talking about riding into Toronto to see the Fireworks display at Ontario Place on Sat. July 5th, and asking if anyone wanted to join he and his wife. If you are out there, we may be able to meet up with you.
  6. My 07 the push to talk buttons also cut out the radio. I have not used my CB yet as I havn't bought the head set yet. The push to talk buttons main purpose you are right are for the CB, but they cut out the radio if that is playing. Because I don't have the headset, I don't know if my machine will cut out the radio when we try to talk or not.
  7. Thank you Gentlemen, I will go out and buy my oil filter today. I have also read others suggesting the rear end (drive shaft) be changed as well. Is this a difficult thing to do without specific tools?
  8. I know you said you don't want to have to push a button or anything, but on the 07 the driver and passenger both have a button to push to cut out the radio to talk. Driver's is on the left handle bar and Passenger's is left side also by the volume control. I'm in the process of looking for head sets, but for now we use the buttons to cut out the radio when we want to shout at each other over the road noise. Have a great summer
  9. Hello All, I am also due for my first oil change and the dealer is too busy for same day service so they said the most important thing would be to change the oil for now. Without me taking the filter out, then going to the store to buy the same size, does anyone know the size of oil filter for a 2007 RSMV? I was surprised to see that the size is not in the owners manuel. Thanks
  10. Thanks for the replys and attached arm rest site. I'll have to get my wife to read these so she won't feel so scared if she does close her eyes and dose off for a bit.
  11. Hello, having a great time on my new 07 RSMV. I use to ride a 920 Virago with back rest and saddle bags. My wife finds the new bike so comfortable that she is having a hard time to stay awake. Does anyone else have this problem? If so have they been able to stay seated upright?

    Log Gas Mileage

Bill I sure hope your mechanic can solve the problem and you can get your bike back to the 40mpg. I'm nearly at the 200 mile spot, so I will soon have to get mine in for service. Like you I am getting exactly 40mpg, so I will be watching and listen to other posts in case the same thing happens to mine. Good luck Dave
  13. Thanks for the info. It sounds like it will be a good time, but I won't be able to make it.
  14. Hello, my name is Dave from Toronto, Canada. I'm enjoying your site so far. Can you tell me where is your maintainance day that you are talking about?
