  1. Thanks Phil, even Phathom made it into the thread.
  2. Hey, we could set up a M&G while your here, just any reason will do eh? I'll see about FB, Marca does it, I don't. That Dodge looks nice!!
  3. That was a long time ago, Don, that you rode a Spyder. You probably shorten up a little since then. The 2010 has the 990 engine, 2 cylinder and vibrates some. To us at the time when we test rode it, same day and unit as you did, it was a no player and was not attractive. In 2014 they came out with the 1330, 3 cyl and we bought that. There is some vibration at start up, but soon smooths out. We really like it:happy65:. It has a lot of pluses: One brake, no kick stand, stable, a hoot in the corners, lots of power, gravel friendly, except for belt issues, cheaper tires, low heat radiation, 10,000km oil changes (2014 went to 15,000) easy steering as opposed to a trike (diminishing power assisted). Downsides: expensive parts, not easy for oil changes, Kenda tires are junk, engine vibration (990), storage on the RS model, seat isn't the greatest for a long haul, 4.5 inch ground clearance, mirrors aren't in the greatest location for 2up, but they work. You will need a 6' wide trailer, 8'long. Because of low clearance you need a long ramp or a hill to help out. Not only will the center get stuck, the nose is also a pain to load. Rotax is known to be a very good unit, at least the reputation of the V4. Personally I would go for an RT and 2014 or later to get the 3 cylinder. Nope, would not go back to 2 wheels, just to much fun on these. Things to look for. Kenda tires are junk, they don't last long, so if it has Kendas plan on new skins soon, use Kumos, General, Koyo. It should track straight, on the straights and not twitchy in the corners or it will need an alignment. Belt will vibrate if tension is off. It should have an idler installed about half way. The earlier models have a much higher tension spec and tend to take out the engine end bearing. Later they lowered the tension setting and seems to be better. That's all I can think of right now.
  4. I happened to know where a feller might find a real pretty blue one.
  5. AAALLLL RIGHT. Sounds like a REAL good idea. Thanks
  6. I would pull the wheel to check the clutch spline. If they used the wrong grease it will be dry and worn.
  7. I do hope he would be looking at a Spyder, they are some awesome!!! Good hunting Bob.
  8. I'm waiting for the day that I get into bed backwards,(head at foot end), then I will have come full circle.
  9. Maybe a good time to have a chat with the governor.
  10. Could be a vacuum in the gas tanks as well.
  11. Best thing to do is to ask the Great Shepherd how to handle this and let Him work it out. He may give you something to do so be on the alert for instructions, in other words, you can't sit back, but them I kind of think you wouldn't do that anyways. You have our thoughts and prayers as always, in the end His will, will be done.
  12. That don't sound like no fun at all. All I can do for you is ask the Great Master to have a hand in your next process,,, so I will do that. Hopefully you'll heal well and be ready to ride again next year. Seems like this is the year of low miles for lots of folks, and now your adding to the woe. Blessings!
  13. Guess we are in waiting then
  14. Mostly they break because either the bolts were screwed too tight or the wrong bolts were used. Either way, if the windshield is too tight, things will crack and break.
  15. Well now, I don't do facebook, I keep very busy trying to keep up here, and even get behind at times. So come-on bro, post some pictures or I'll have to go through my mind to see if I can conjure up something,,,,, now would you want me posting that?
  16. Tooch must of had some good food, spent his time eating,, how was your food? not so good?
  17. We were worried about leaving you alone with Ben, but then after some consideration we thought things might just be OK. Funny that he didn't mention anything in his post.
  18. You been sick or somethin???? shy??? what's happened,, go see a doctor and get back to normal,,, this is not good!!!
  19. Seems like we need a new picture taker, maybe you could help out next time,,, but you'd have to come to enjoy the fun. Missed ya you2, don't quit on us just yet, we have more learnin to do.
  20. We just had a great Rally in New York,,, where were you, I missed you two, too or to. However the Americans spell it. Next year EH?
  21. Wonderful rally, good food,(good food take a while sometimes eh?) loads of fun (we laughed a lot) great company (can't beat Pioneer), the guests present were very accommodating (they let me stay the whole time), the weather did it's thing and kept all the scoots clean (except for those who felt it necessary to keep the dirt in place and put covers on), sleep was as normal (some did, and some need further training), a good mix of both sexes (don't think there was anymore than 2), rides and destinations were just fine (we like to ride, but we also spent time talking). Those were the good things that I can remember off hand. The bummers were: 1) not much ice-cream ( my own fault) 2) not enough room in the midsection for more of the tasty stuff (it was tasty though and lots of it), AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, I expected to see more of the folks I get to see maybe once a year, but hey!!!!! you weren't there,,, where were you???? I missed you!!! OK, next year then, looking forward to it already. Thanks you guys, for putting on a GRAND Rally. Looking forward to lots of pictures.
  22. If you mount the lights that low you will limit their usefulness. Lights need to shine down on the road to light the road surface, so if they are mounted low most of the usable light will be lighting the trees. In the daytime you also want to stay off the road surface so you can be seen, too low and all the light will go un-noticed.
  23. 8am
  24. That wouldn't be O'Canada, it would be more like OhOh'Canada.
  25. I likes that color. Gonna take a bit to get used to riding it, but I watched B2Dad on his, and I would say he didn't loose out on any fun at all. So train, learn and enjoy!!
