  1. I tooked from the instruments panel, so it will turn up with the key, that is correct.
  2. I installed mine on my Royal Star. No problems at all so far, and has been more than 5 months already Follow the instructions about where to hoock the connections, never straight to the ground as they said, avoid a lot of noise. Regards,
  3. Larry, I never receive your e-mail. Can you please resend it? Thanks Carlos:smash2:
  4. Floyd, Yes, I'll do. No problem. We can tune all those that need to be done. Regards, Carlos:witch_brew:
  5. I put the 40$ one from Ikea on my 97 RSTD and it fits perfect (on my buts too). Is the best money used for. Same day it rained a lot, and I was lucky with that one, since the 20$ doesn't support to get wet. It still seems like new. Regards,
  6. Larry, If you need help with your antenna I have all the equipment needed for tunning. Just let me know, and I can go there to help you with that. Carlos
  7. Bummer, Thanks a lot, my camera failed. Battery dead. Regards, Carlos:smash2:
  8. Hey, that is wonderful. I promess not to copy it. How do I sent you the shipping cost? E-mail me at calperin@calperin.com to solve that. Thanks, Calperin
  9. Hey, Now we have a rider on a baticycle.... Holly color Batsquid. Really nice...
  10. Peggscrapper will send me a new bolt, but I will love to repair this just in case will work on emergencies mine or someone else. I'll send you a PM when I get the other one to ask your address. Thanks
  11. Eck, The one from Canada is the one that I purchased. They said that is a 4.5" ring that belongs to Yamaha, but after watch the picture in detail I'll find out after I receive it. Still need the turning lamp ring. Thanks
  12. Don, By sure my max was 95 mph. Checked last monday on highway with the new winshield. I was surprised for bike stability, but didn't realize I was on 5th. I tried by instict to change gear and I realized that there were no more gears.... Mine is a Royal Star 97 1300. So, engine seems to be the same without YICS, and smaller carbs. Regards,
  13. First at all, I want to thanks everyone for your thoughts & support. Now, as I promised before there are pictures of the damaged parts. (Sorry, are not 100% in focus). V7Goose, I have no problem. I check on the hardware store that it seems that the thread is Metric 10 with a pitch slightly out of 1.25. The top side ends with an allen head, that holds the Passing lamp case, and the turn light case is holding by the thread. There is a picture of the broken piece. No problem to send you the part, you can e-mail me your address to calperin@calperin.com with the details, and thanks for the help. Yammer Dan, I already bought one, and make an offer on the other one. Thanks again, :witch_brew:
  14. Yammer Dan, About the sets, yes I'm watching on e-bay the bid. Also, I got a guy on Canada offering a ring for the passing lamp, that may be for parts I'll going to get anyway. I have to find if I can build a bolt with some hollow thread for hold the lamp cases. cecdoo, This is the risk all of us know about riding a bike. Of course, nobody want to have anything like this, but no complains, I love to ride. Curious is I didn't have anything like this since I was 18 years old. About 36 years ago....
  15. Eck, I'll take it today and posted as soon as I got back home. BigD, She was too busy talking on the phone to realize that crossing Main Street on Royal Oak can be something to consider as look both sides before to run like if you're the only driver on the street at 7:45 in the morning. Of course, she don't even stopped. And I was far from touch her car. To all of you, thanks Carlos
  16. Well, Sheet happens (Yeah, but why to me???). Monday morning, back from Chicago week trip, so as every day run my bike to job. Perfect stability, with the bigger winshield I got almost 90 mph with no vibration at all. I was amazed about it. Now, on a stupid main street, at almost 20 mph a lady talking on the cell & driving cross a wet street without looking at the both sides (I was coming north on the main street). As soon as I press the brake handle (Of course I should use the rear brake first, but my hands where faster than my right foot), the rear side of the bike was faster than the front wheel, and of course on a slipper street I went down. On me, only a broken pant, a burn on my knee, and that was all. On the bike, my front left turning light got the ring broken, the passing lamp got the ring out, both visors are OK, and the internal bolt that holds both lamps on the mounting passing lamps got broken at the middle of the hollow thread, and some new scratches on the side of the new winshield that already come scratched (See my Excelent Condition thread...) I believe the worst part was when I went to the dealer to get new parts: No replacements, I need to get a full kit of everything.... As the passing lamp mounting braket only got a little smashed, I think that I can fix it and will be impossible to notice, except with a magnifier trying to access between the two lamps. The passing lamp ring is only with a few scratches but seems that something is missing as the small with the nut that hold it, seems easy to open. Conclusion: Do somebody has a ring for the passing lamp and a ring for the turn light to sell, and may be the bolt that links both lamps? I forget this is for a 1997 Royal Star. I don't need to replace all since there where minor stuffs. No, still don't need a new knee. Thanks
  17. Sorry, It is to high and on the border. I was thinking to add a handle wind protection, but to make that usefull I should make the RS a Chopper, in that case the handles are going to be high enough to fit the spot.... I got screwed. I really doubt that e-bay or the seller will do anything about this. If I don't get answer this weekend I'll post this and feedback the seller. BTW, IF YOU SEE ANY POST FROM STUFF4CASH, DON'T BUY IT.
  18. Hey Peg, Get the lexan is not the problem, the real issue will be to cut it and finish it with the bends. It has to have some curvature, if not will have internal cracks. Will be a heat process to do it. I have a heat gun, but I don't know if that will be enough. US Plastics has the 24" x 24" x 3/16" for 26$ plus shippment, but it is clear. Regards, Carlos

Happy bidding!!! " I think the other 3 reported more than deadbeats were unhappy bidders. The guy is in New Jersey, name M. Milov, 53 Morningside Drive, Livingston, NJ 07039. Any venturer close to the area? Thanks
  20. Yes, As you can read on title that is what I thought I bought on E-bay. A 1998 Royal Star 21" Tall Winshield on Excellent Conditions, as listed and as was in the picture showed on E-bay (Yes, the picture of the fiance in Italy. I know that history). The problem: a melt on one side of the size of a tennis ball. A small scrach in the middle but almost not noticeable. So, If I return it I have to pay shipment twice. If I keep it, I'll feel like an idiot. So, anyone know any miracle formula to try to fix the melted. (It seems like to previous owner impact hardly against something that melted it). Apart of it, perfect. Complete hardware, two slides on the shield. Original plates with Logo. Ah, also it fits perfect on the bike. So, I'll appretiate all feeds helping on this. Lawyer please hold until figure out final status. Thanks :sick:
  21. AZSpyder, Why you don't take the seat off, put the piece on top of it. Cut the skin following the seat more 2 or 3 inches by side (leave space enough to twist it around the tank), and then use velcros or ties with plastic hooks. Even more, if you can put a bronce hole cover like the one used on curtains, you can hook the cover with a bungy cord. Regards,
  22. Dave, Ikea has those sheepskins for 19.99 & 39.99$ regarding the color. THe one in Canton has those in inventory. I 'm going to buy one. I didn't found the right marker after the trip to Oberlin.... Still need to redo the line of my a$$$. Stupid RS seats, why they don't do the same as the RSV on it??? :cool10:
  23. Texas Ranger!!! (Yes, the shorty one...)
  24. Do you really think that everything is so right? Do you know what lobby means? Do you know how easy is to the Oil companies to agree on what to do to control the market? They are over the federal, they are ruling the world market. Too much problem in USA, no problem, they still can handle the rest of the world...
  25. Ok, Two issues here: On ventureriders, if not Squidley not drill possible. He 's the official drill on our site. However we can make an exception on this case. (Still he should get some rights fees). Second, I totally agree with the minimum condition to no impact on the echo system. There were reasons for the limitation. Like in the case of Alaska, we need the oil but we have no right to kill all the species around to have a cheap drive. We don't need another Valdez sink around. The Oil gasoduct never was completed, and nobody said a word about the project, except they found defective pipes on their development.
