    Hi Larry, another amateur radio operator! I'm not very active anymore but my call is KD4CLS used to be in ARTS but that was a long time ago. I'm guessing your still in Louisville and I agree with you. I also test rode a Victory Vision last week at Louisville yamaha myself, also have ridden several Ultras, and the 1800 Wing. For me hands down venture wins! The V-four makes our's a totally unique ride and also they're super comfortable and tight! So Brian if you're stable with your feet on the ground as stated I would go for it, your gonna love it!

    A subjective answer but, at idle they have a mean low rumble, but they bark when you get into them! Deb says they sound like a mean hopped up Chevy more that a motorcycle. Personally I love em! I'll try and put a little video sound clip of em up in the next few days if I get time.

    Just a quick note of thanks to all, especially Brakepad who went above and beyond! Took the bike in for first service and I'm lucky I have a good 5 star tech that knows his stuff, immediately he confirmed the problem and knew just what to do. Removed the rear wheel, lubed everything, put it all back together, loosened the four bolts on the hub, shimmed where appropriate and boom we back in business noise free. Thanks again, you guideance is always appreciated!

    After several beautiful 70 deg plus days, it has decided to go back down in tbne 40's mist rain and generally be rotten. So in my broedom of this raining Sunday I thought I would review the progress made so far in the first month of Venture Ownership and take some updated pictures. First and foremost is this site!! Tons of great ideas, dramtiacally shortened the learning curve on ins and outs of my new bike, plus nmade some great new friends!     Here is a little music video I put together from the 150+ photo's I took today at our KY Derby Festival, Thunderbash, Feed The Children Fund Raiser Kickoff.... This ride ends up at the official kick off event for the two weeks leading up to the Kentucky Derby called Thunder over Louisville. It is the largest firworks display in the country along with an AWESOME military air show. All monies raised go to Feed The Children Charities. It was freaking cold but we still had a decent turn out and the our super supoortive Local Yamaha/Victory dealer had the Victory Demo truck there so you could ride any Victory bike you wanted, of course I had to take the Vision for a run. All I am going to say is I sure am glad I bought a Venture!!
