    Gee thanks Lewis. Rooster your too funny. Welcome Dave. Yeah you'll most likely make one of our meets. Usually try once a month in the off season, ya know when there aren't big rallies planned. We always have an end of year meet or beginning (depends on what sat we can set one up for) This year is looking like Jan 3rd. The sat before is too close to christmas. On Sept 27th is the 2nd annual onslow Vietnam memorial ride. A group of us did this last year. So if you don't have anything to do come on over.     We had a young State trooper ask if we had ac on the bike. Guess the vents kinda confused him. So we told him yes. (in the winter) :rotf: Margaret

    Awww Geee Randy how sweet. Hanna wasn't much, not even the rain we were suppose to get. Now I guess we can all watch and see where Ike goes. Though it seems to be looking bad for S. Florida. Margaret

    Let us know if they go to your place Bobbie. Otherwise I hope they let us know where they end up. We've had some pretty heavy downpours along the coast. I wouldn't want to ride in it. You guys should be seeing Hanna before us, at least as it stands now. Could change. Hope you don't get too much rain. Margaret

    We're just starting to see the rain you had earlier Gene. It was sunny earlier. Looks like this is gonna be the one band we all see for now. Not much coming behind it, for now anyway. Wendy you folks might just want to head to Bobbie and Georges, so you don't get wet. Margaret

    I know what you mean about the power outage. I get to pick up some lose stuff around here tomorrow morning. Then it's just sit back and wait. I really don't want to see Ike. Even if he downgrades that just makes em spread out. Means a cat 1 could take all day to get through with ya. That's what happened with Isabelle. Margaret

    He should be fine. He's south of me and he gets to meet Hanna first. Most folks around here aren't worried about Hanna they want to know where Ike is going. Margaret

    Congrats. He should do just fine, with you and your wife supporting him. Dang didn't know they went up pay grades for signing up other folks. Don't think they did that when I was in. Margaret

    Well you just take it easy till you heal. Don't worry I'm a clutz so I don't think anything about what you did. I've done some pretty dumb things to hurt myself over the years. Margaret

    I wear a 3/4 helmet. As for the nervousness on the back, might want to just take some short trips for a while to get use to it. The more time on the bike you should start to relax. The full face helmet might have just set you off in a panic from the get go and then you couldn't relax. I'd say if your that uncomfortable with the helmet you have get a new one before you get back on the bike. Hope you can relax and enjoy the fun. See you in chat whenever you get to come back.     Thanks for the updates. Bigbob and his family will be in our prayers for as long as needed. As for the accident, could it have been a tire going down on the trailer? Or maybe even going completely? Just a thought. Hope you heal fast and well. Margaret

    Has your wife ever ridden before? If not hope it goes well. Do you have a back rest on the bike? If so you may want to move the trunk back a bit. Gets a bit squishy for the rider if you don't. Here's the link to how to do this. I don't know of a kit to buy for this. My husband made these up for us. The measurements and all are there.
