  1. The Navigator and I are flying out to B.C. in June for our daughters graduation. She was attending Simon Fraser University and has completed her Grad studies. For the two weeks that we will be there she has a fairly busy schedule planned for us. One suggestion she made is that we rent, borrow or steal a Motorcycle for a day. Is there a place in the Vancouver area that I can rent a Motorcycle for a day? If so does anyone want to play tour guide? Wayne
  2. I cannot imagine that in the twisties..
  3. Happy Easter everyone ... You too Tom... "HE IS RISEN!"
  4. Patti: You can mix it up on the same card. The unit knows the difference between pictures and music. The type of card (micro sd) is what is important. Brand or make is not as important. Something from online or Wallyworld will be just fine as long as it is a micro sd card. They usually come with an adapter so you can plug them into a standard SD slot on the computer to add files directly. If you want to have room for everything on one card then get a bigger card like 8 or 16 gigs. If you want to have different things like you said country on one and classic rock on another then it is easy to store the extra cards. A little inconvenient changing them is all. You have to remove the back of the unit to change the card. Wayne
  5. That is probably true. Most of the songs I have are a bit rate of 128K. If you use a higher bitrate then the file size goes up dramatically. I personally cannot hear the difference. Most songs are about 3 to 4 minutes and at 128k run about 3 to 4 megs. An audiofile with very discerning ears may hear the difference. On the bike or even in the cage with road noise etc thrown in ... NADA.. My opinion..
  6. You can put a little over 4000 songs on a 4 gig.. That is enough music for most trips without playing the same song twice. Roughly 200 hours of music.
  7. This is a good solution for carrying a cooler. It is simple and lite. Also can be adjusted for any size cooler or box. I have one and it works perfect. Would not be hard to make yourself. http://motorcycletrailer.com/icb/
  8. What is DOT 4 synthetic? Is that OK to use?

  17. Congratulations Brad.. Very NICE..
  18. I'm going to be there most of this afternoon (Sat) and almost every Wednesday evening (depending on if it snows or not). It would be AWESOME to see you Phil. Actually anyone wanting to put their 2 cents in or lend a hand would be welcome... Of course I should let Carl chime in here since it is his place.. But I know he likes company...
  19. So far this second gear repair has been "interesting" Getting the motor out was fine except getting the pipes out of the collector. After beating on them for a few weeks we finally got them apart and the engine on the bench. Ordered gaskets and "O" rings from Skydoc (thanks Earl) and our wonderfull customs played with the package for about a month after we paid EXTRA for priority post so that the stuff would get here while I remembered where the stuff went. So now we are assembling and figuring it out as we go. Carl is a real trouper. (thanks Carl) Anyhow got the tranny back together and into the bike. Started to look around for some other stuff to put back together. Found a clutch slave and even found where it was suppose to go. Looked around for the socket head bolts that hold it in and one of them was broke. Took a look and low and behold the broken part is still in the hole. Can't get a drill into that area. I left Carl's the other night somewhat worried but he said he could "do it" Now I'm hoping that "getting her done" is what he meant here...
  20. There was a time that I was considering getting into flying. I did some research and took the idea seriously. What I wanted was a two seater with some carrying capacity. During the time I took in some flights (not as pilot) and asked lots of questions. So I've been in a challenger but didn't fly it myself. Once I was done the research it came down to two planes. The Challenger or the Kitfox. The Kitfox I did get to fly. A friend of mine has a Piper Cub and I've flown that as well. The Kitfox flew almost exactly like the Cub and I really liked it's characteristics. The Challenger FELT right but again I wasn't the pilot. What was cool was we were in one with amphibian floats. We took off from the airport in Bracebridge ON. and landed at one point on a small lake near Muskoka. My pilot raved about the plane. He obviously loved it. There was a club (probably still it) and they flew together regularly. He liked winter flying the best and I doubt anyone would enjoy flying the Kitfox in the winter.
  21. A couple of things I like about the challenger. Visibility from the cockpit is awsome. They can be fitted with wheels, floats or skis. Around this neck of the woods the most popular time to fly is in the winter. Every lake and river is a runway. Lift is excellent. The cabin can be heated. Another ultralight that I like is the Kitfox.
  22. Bob: Robin and I will be praying for you.. You are in good hands.
  23. the short answer is yes it will. Looks to be in good shape too..
  24. I'd be interested in one
