All good advise above, but I am purchasing the seats from Squidley in the classified ads and they have the velour on them so I just wanted to know what I'm getting into, It turns out Hartco sells a seat rain cover for the RSV or can recover the seats. I am hoping they will be more comfortable in the tailbone and gentleman parts area than the stock seats. P.S. I too prefer rum.

If you decide to go this route and are in a need for RSV bars and weights drop me a line as I should have those avaiable after the holidays.

Meant to say scotchguard, scotch always helps just not when riding.

Any one have any experience drying Hartco velour seats after rain? Does scotch help? Any comments on comfort when used on a RSV? Regards, Paul

I am putting together a list of LED lighting for the rear of the bike but I don't know wich electronic flasher to order as I have not torn into the bike yet and misplaced the manual. So, is the flasher a two prong or three prong unit? And is there a PDF manual on some website ore in someones posesion that wants to share? Regards, Paul

Maxima has a lot of zinc in it too. I use it in the V-twin when I can find it. -

It appears there is a axial slot for a screw to fit in if you look real close, you can get a hd lens real chap and see if it fits your housing then you know they will fit. The lenses look cool, clear one would be nice with led lights.

Can you please share that Yamaha number, I would like to add one of these to my '99. Or if anyone has a print of this plate i can just make one.

Has anyone attempted to fit a Electraglide touring seat onto a Venture? I suspect the front of the H-D seat may be too narrow to fit, the narrowness is one of the reasons I want it, also you can find the seats cheap at swap meets or C/L.

I have a set of Samsons with fishtail tips on right now, the sound real good and not too loud for cruising but I can see them get annoying for touring which I have not done yet on this bike. I will be installing a set of Peace Maker slip-ons over the winter that I got used so I have to fab up a manual actuation system.

I came across this RSV ad on you tube, the bike has two sets of wind deflectors on the leg fairings adjustable ones on the side and molded ones on top. I don't know who makes them but they look very nice , wouldn't mind having these on my bike. I think there is a member here that makes the upper ones or something similar but I couldn't find that thread, maybe some one will post it. here is the you tube link.
