  1. Naw Rick. You have just moved from the Gates side to the Open Source side! Have you had any experience with VMWare? If not, take a look. I think it is the best thing since sliced cheese. You can get the Beta server version 2 for free still. It is not full function but with the purchase of VMWare workstation for about $60 you can you can manipulate images. Our data center in NY and NJ are using a full server version. I'm looking at a test implementation for my office. I have much to learn. Tim
  2. My counterpart in the Vandalia office yesterday said it looked like a blizzard. It is 30 degrees at my home in Georgia. A dusting of snow and the wind is whipping. This boy doesn't ride in this kind of weather. My wife and I had a spring day last Sunday so after church we managed to enjoy a short 70 mile ride through the country. She says she has had enough winter and wants spring to get here. She is ready to ride! So, go the garage and polish the scoot (wish I had a garage), plan so some two, three, four day get aways on the bike. Play checkers with the wife. Me... I'm got homework for school to work on. My wife is also back in school (grad school) chasing another degree and more income. We gotta pay for the extra scoot trips you know! Hang in there dude...
  3. Well, I don't do any of those things while riding my scoot. Of course, I have been accused of noise polution. I was singing along with my CDs!
  4. Where are you guys purchasing your mic-mutes? Are there multiple brands... is one better than another? I'm not familiar with them.
  5. OR.... he could wear a helmet and he could wrap his bath towel around the helmet! Then again... maybe we should let him ride without a helmet. Cuz sooner or later he is going to crack his head open and then ... it just won't matter anymore! I agree with you guys... if the towel head does not want to abide by our laws then he shouuld take his nappy butt back across the pond to the hole he crawled out of!!! So many foreigners do not come here to enjoy the freedoms available. Instead they come from their backwards socialistic depressed environment and are determined to make this country looks like the junk they just let. grrrr.... gotta stop. My blood pressure is rising!
  6. I think I saw Fred Flinstone on this particular model once. For you guys looking for trailer ideas, maybe the pic I'm attaching will help you.
  7. Well, I don't know about you boys, but I wear the pants in my family. I'm positive about that cuz my wife told me so!
  8. I don't have a mic mute, but I have an 05 also and I have motor noise in my ears too. I would also be interest in some sort of filter or something to eliminate this noise.
  9. Brian, Extreme DSL is what AT&T call their fastest DSL available to a home in my region. I live out in the country and they just made DSL available to me in December 07. At home I can visually see the CO hardware just down the road and receive 7 MB and 8MB download speed at the box outside my house. I receive a constant 5.5MB to 6.5 MB download speed at my router. I could only receive dial-up for years. So now I'm as happy as a pig in slop with my Internet connection. -Tim
  10. Been up finishing reports for work. I'm running extreme DSL. Windows Player popped right up and the stream flowed uninterrupted. bedtime!
  11. My bad. It took about 2 minutes for me to pull my brain out of my back pocket and remember that he was a member instead of website. I did send him an email. I will also check the classified area. I appreciate your help.
  12. Oh heck, didn'tt know I need it ... was that available on the carsporttouring.com site?? I didn't order it. I better go back and look!
  13. OK... I'm impressed with the size and sound. I just ordered one for my 05 Venture. I'm tired of squeaking my OEM horn at animals on the side of the road just to have them fall over in laughter! Looks like a good safety addition for minimum bucks.
  14. Purchased my 05 Liquid Silver in May of this year. In the past 6 months we have put 6000 miles on it. It is very comfortable. We are currently 300 miles from home on a short trip to see the wife's parents. It's performance has been flawless. The addition of the headsets enables communication with my bride while riding. We usually prefer to spend our travel time talking rather than listening to the radio or CD. Our bike has a good bit of extra chrome. It is an eye catcher. Even traveling down the Interstate people constantly give us a thumb's up or just glare at the bike as they pass by... that is if they are running above 80 mph (which is what it takes to pass us!). I might add a trailer in the future... but it is not a necessity. You can't get this much bike or "curb appeal" for the amount of investment compared to the HD or Wing. The wing is a wonderful bike. But for now, I'll keep that extra 10K! 5 years or so down the road if Star has EFI on these machines, I'll consider purchasing another one.
  15. It's ok. They are married. She can flash him if she wants to. Just make sure you keep that circus under a tent!
  16. Funny, that basically describes my 05 Venture.. and it only has 9K on it. My service manager told me I might have to "slip" or "feather" the clutch to shift down. This is usually when I'm almost stopped or completely stopped. Guess when I get 140K on my bike I'll be using a sledge hammer to shift into neutral!
  17. My 05 RSV will do it depending on road conditions. I have new Pirelli's front and rear. I'm not happy with the front tire. I don't remember my Dunlop doing this when I had my cruiser.
  18. Alright! That is kool as grits! Sorry... I'm American by birth but Southern by the grace of God! It is a time that is coming... .but not yet! I love the rumble beneath my seat. But it seems so sad to me that our own country is not leading the way in this field either automotively or in the bike industry.
  19. 4'10"?? Heavens... You might need to invent "Floorboard Risers" for our petite riders!
  20. My wife is only 5'3" tall and she says the floor boards of our 05 Venture fit her perfectly. Hope this helps you out.
