Hi all, Cap'n Quirk here. I've been friends with IC23b and 99silver for more years than they will admit they are old. I've been to a couple Meet&Eats and have talked to a bunch of you MI and ONT types. I've witnessed many good deeds that you have done for each other and have heard of many, MANY more so I'm happy to join your efforts and meet some more of you in person.

i have to get this on the calender. i had this meet last year for the first time the weekend after labor day, and it was a total success. it is a great time of the year in this area because it is cool and the riding is very enjoable. the area is beautiful and has awesome riding and no end of sight seeing. the dates will be the 8th, 9th, and 10th of september, 2011. the host motel is in the park. last year we had it all to ourself. it was a great meet and i think all who intended had a great time. the motel is very secluded and very nice. the location is in sullivan mo. right off I- 44. at meramec state park on the meramec river. they also have camping and cabins in the park. sullivan is 5 miles from the park and has all the usual restaurants and more motels. i would like to know how many folks may be interested in attending. hope to see you there. bill :clap2:

LONE STAR RALLY NOVEMBER 6TH RIDE, Who wants to ride? We can all meet at my place. I'm in Katy and close to I-10. I know a back way down 99. We are open for suggestions on the time to leave. I was thinking about after we eat breakfast. The place I want to go to for breakfast is open at 9:00 am. Send me your thoughts on what time we want to meet and go. Thanks, Hal

I couldn't make the m/e yesterday and was just wondering how it went. I will be going to bike week in Daytona and camping at the Cabbage patch and hope to meet some peeps then.

Was reading posts about meet and eats and it struck me that Sleeperhawks Feb 26,2011 11:00 am meet at QuakerState would fit in nicely with my run to watch the "Last Scheduled" launch of the space shuttle Endeavour on 2/27/2011 3:35 PM. it's just 522 miles away from Greenville, SC. So if one traveled at least 6 hrs (300 mile) after the M&E Saturday, they would be within a 4 hour (200 mile) ride to the launch site. Anyone else interested?

hey everyone, i would like to plan some meet and eats and short rides for my aera in nc for 2011. theres alot of senic roads in area and was wondering how many would be intrested in this. i also know the owner of the sleep inn in black mountain so if anybody would like to try this motel out next time theres an event in town just let me know.

It is only 1 week from tomorrow for the St. Jude Meet & Eat. We will be meeting in W. Memphis, Ark. at 11:00 am, we will have lunch at the Flying J, and then proceedi over to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to tour this fantastic facility and present our donation for this year. If you have a Cruisn' for St. Jude t shirt be sure to wear it, I will have a few with me so if you need one I just might have one for you. The Flying J is located right in the middle of where I-55 & I-40 meet in W. Memphis, you cant miss it. Look forward to seeing everyone there, you will leave this event with a very good feeling............I PROMISE!!!

September 24th and 25th is the 4th annual Bikes on the Bricks in Flint Mi. They close off Saginaw St downtown and there is lots of bikes, food and fun. The Police motorcycle competition is on Saturday the 25th. Practice on Friday the 24th. Bike show with 8 categories on Saturday. My 83VR makes the Antiques. (1985 and older). Will be a fun time for all. I'm posting a breakfast meet and eat for 10:00am for any who would want to meet up and ride downtown together. http://www.bikesonthebricks.com/information.html

OK I am ready to hit the road on the Th to head to the Smoky Mnts, I finished everything on the bike to handle the trailer and I am hoping to meet some venture riders up there. I plan on stopping in Georgia Fri night then set up camp at Deep Creek campground in NC so I am in the middle between the BRP and the Gap if anyone is up there and want to meet up pm me I am so looking forward to the trip. we talked about having a christmas dinner meet at the meramec meet. it will probably be down around cape jirardeau, missouri. will have a one night stay over. bring your car unless you want to freeze your butt off. need some input on location and dates. i'm trying to get a good central location thats easy to get to.

well we made it home awhile ago, and the meet was a total success. we thought it was going to be a washout cuz of rain. got a nice ride in friday and a really great ride saturday. what a great group. everything went picture perfect. i sold my wing to a really great guy, and he rode it all weekend. it was his and his wifes first venture rider meet and i think they really enjoyed it. i know linda and i had a wonderful time. the highlight of the meet was the trip to herman, mo. yesterday. it just happened that there was a fair going on there so we spent several hours sightseeing. i want to thank all the folks that attended. we consider them family. already planning a christmas get together, and a fall meet for next year. the temperature was perfect this time of year. the aftermath of the hurricane came and passed early so we got plenty of riding in. bill

http://www.oysterrun.org/ I know this happens every year, but I am more excited this year as I finaly have a scooter to join the fun. We seem to have a few riders out here in the West, maybe we could work something out so we could meet one day. The actual event is offically only on Sunday but folks start rolling into town on Friday. I hope I get the chance to meet some of the great folks from these forums. Bob

:biker:ROAD TRIP...Heddin to Euricka Springs. Be there Sept. 8th till Sunday the 12th. Starting from the Coast of MS. Anyone is welcomed to ride along or maybe meet us in E.S. for some riding and tellin lies. Any members in the E.S. maybe int. in a meet and eat, would be great.

holy cow, it's only 14 days off. time sure flew this summer. the weather is cooling down here in mo.. looking forward to seeing you all for some great riding and sight seeing. what an awesome area for a meet. we will be eating the final dinner sat. night at applebees in sullivan,mo.. can't wait. bill
