Interesting. Curious to know how owners feel with that type of shield.

Some people have decided to cut theirs and you can find those posts on here with a search. I have a long OEM 17" clear windshield which is a blessing in the torrential rain, on the highways. I also have a slip stream short tinted guy. I found some members recommend all-Kleer for the windshield, sort of a "rain x, fog x" type of liquid. I tried it on the slip stream and there was not any fogging in the warm, humid Florida air, after a storm. I do plan on all-Kleer the larger shield at some point. If you want to switch from one to the other, it's extremely easy to do so. I have at best, beginner skill with repairs and such, no way near these guys, and I take my shield on and off in minutes...

Don't mean to sidetrack or hijack the thread. As well as hot tubs, which I am not equipped to give advice, please make sure she is regularly on a stretching and strengthening program, as per a physical therapist. It is important to keep the structural area strong and pliable.

One venture, but 2 bikes owned and 3 total in the stable My first and only venture so far: 2003 RSV, maroon/sand color. Named "Patrice" after the great original comic Patrice O Neal. ( RIP) My first MC ever, 2000 Vulcan Classic FI, 1500cc, bought in '03. Named "Spock" Also a red/ sand color, just matched with RSV without planning it. My buddy from NYC has a 1982 honda CB900F supersport that has been with me since Septemeber'13. All original, mint condition. Has 25k on clock, but he knows I'm riding that girl, whenever and wherever possible. A fun fun ride... He named her Dr. Girlfriend.

The kawasaki Vulcan/voyager would be an excellent choice, because you can pick up a 2011-2013 relatively cheaper than the victory, and even the FB6, which is sweet. The voyager did have heat issues on the passenger R leg, and made some heat cowl where it is SUPPOSED to distribute the heat away from your leg. They are reliable, liquid cooled and have the flagship of a Vulcan which are notoriously dependable. They have LED, ABS and radios and speakers, with cruise. Next choice is the FB6, or the honda CTX 1300. Liquid cooled, low maintenance, reliable. Maybe FJR or Concourse, or BMW K series bikes... For me, I always am eyeballing the Goldwing, but that's just me. Either way, maybe make a list and see about test riding them to get a better feel for what fits you best. Research the ones you like for reliability, comfort, and owner reviews...

I am sorry Lewis for your loss. It is always real hard to lose such a loyal, loving family member. I won't be in good shape emotionally when it becomes my turn. The bright side is an amazing amount of time well spent with your dog and your family

+1 on renting. Lots of firearms look good but don't feel right. My brother in law is a LEO so I get to shoot his arsenal. From the LOOKS, I thought I would enjoy the S&W compact MP model. didn't like it. I have, shoot and carry a S&W MP, .40 cal. I love that gun. Shoots rounds all day long. But the shorter compact I didn't care for I have to politely disagree with bumble bee on Springfield being a glock clone. Springfield armory make fantastic firearms and have been battle tested. I own an XD and that fires flawlessly, no matter how much or little I fire it. It has an extra safe guard that fits in the webbing of your index and thumb ( the snuff box). It also has notches for tactical light. I have a streamlight on mine that I like. Yet the XDS, the subcompact model, did not feel good. I do not have large hands. I also have a kimber ultra carry, that's a smooth and creamy firearm, and my least favorite based on me not using it/ practicing with it is a Sig p229. It's a different cat altogether. Now my SIG AR-15, that's a awesome weapon. Bottom line, try different firearms at the range if you can. I see you're also not too far from me. If you're interested you can try mine if you would like. PM me or call. Number in profile. PS: That Tul-ammo is not brass casing, and can be "dirty". Heard from more than a few people that they have trouble firing that ammo. IDK first hand. B

2006 RSTD Ultrastar

Looks great. I am a fan of white on bikes. Gives the appearance of it being sharper and cleaner. -
I have an orchestra in my head 24/7. Seriously, my mom was a big music fan and I have songs in my head that I haven't heard in 30+ years...

I rode one about 3 months ago, near me when some chap wanted to part with his. 2003 with under 2500km on clock. I am very intrigued. Was a cool test ride for sure. This model had the upgraded carb and brakes. What I like is they are like an all terrain vehicle with a reverse!!! Nice machine but needed work and wasn't budging on the sticker price.

Gaucho, There has still not been any official word about Michelin commander II for the front, although they know there is an interest. You won't be disappointed in its handling and performance if they are anything close to, or exceed the original commanders. Great tires...

Avon Tire Cracking!!
Barrycuda replied to Ventureless's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have been lucky I guess... My last set were avons, 5 years and no issues, according to P.O. These new wheels are also Avon venom and no issues at 3300 miles so far. One tire was bad when ordered, but the guys at. Barney of Brooksville, specifically Damien, he is on top of those. IMO, if you were set on replacing manufacturers, I would suggest the Michelin commander II. The originals were excellent and nothing but good things so far on the II... -

Lots of different views on this topic. My bike was lowered in back by P.O. Which was needed for me. I have 40/40 PSI that was suggested by someone. It was also the PSI suggested when I took the ride like a pro course. FOR ME...the only real difficulties I have are when the PSI drops more than 7lbs. Other than that, with practice and a mindset to work on these skills, it is not bad at all. Is it foolproof? No. Mike G from SC has his front lowered by Wild B ill in NC. He raves about his handling. I guess it's simply a trial and error type of thing. Again, in my case, it's proper PSI, and purposeful time practicing slow speed maneuvers, with a bike having a lowering kit that makes my RSV dance on the road....
