I will take more pics this week. One sad part...2 days after I sold my RSV and picked this up, my wife lost her job. THAT SUCKS!!! but when I said I would immediately sell this bike, she adamantly said NO. You do so much for everyone, this is for you. (what a gal) some fun facts about the wing... mileage as of being transferred to me: 28,885 It's never been down, always garaged, no scratches, dings, tears or fading anywhere. Tires look like new. The brake sensor recall was completed successfully. The Honda extended warranty expires December 15, 2014. Serviced every 4,000 miles with synthetic oil. The Kuryakyn chrome hitch was used for a small Rivco luggage carrier and never pulled a trailer. Standard equipment includes AM/FM radio with weather band, electronic reverse, cruise control, electronic headlight adjustment, 5 speed transmission, adjustable air ride suspension, intercom system and MP3 Player port with MP3 player using SD card . This is the level 3 model, meaning that in addition to the above standard items, a premium sound system is included, as well as the "Comfort Package" (heated seats, heated grips and toe heaters) and also the in-dash large display GPS system and ABS brakes. Additionally accessories have been added (partial list below): Honda CB Radio Honda CB Antenna Kuryakyn Shark Gill Fairing Accent Kuryakyn Chrome Fairing Intake Garmin GPS Map Update Honda 12v Accessory Socket Muth Turning Signals Show Chrome Deluxe Luggage Rack Kuryakyn Lighted Trunk Molding Kuryakyn Lighted Saddle Bag Molding Tulsa Mirror Air Deflectors Tulsa X-Tall Windshield w/Vent ( have the shorter one also) Honda Lower Fog Lights Honda Lighted Trunk Spoiler w/brake Utopia Driver’s Backrest Kuryakyn Passenger Transformer Floorboards and Kuryakyn hwy pegs Fish Chrome Kickstand Tulsa 2-Piece Belly Pan Kuryakyn Rotor Covers & LED Wheel Of Fire Kuryakyn Lighted Chrome Cruise Boards Kuryakyn Chrome Exhaust Turn-Downs Bike MP3 Player Kuryakyn Trailer Hitch Kuryakyn Chrome Transmission Covers Kuryakyn Chrome Battery Covers Honda Passenger CB Push To Talk Control Honda Deluxe Saddlebag/Trunk Mats Wig Wag Brake Modulator everything works. The engine starts and idles like new. All of the buttons, audio, electronics and CB work perfectly. There are no unusual noises in the transmission, engine or rear end. There are no fluid leaks of any kind. Color code is R325M (Candy Caliente Red). Many of the original parts are boxed up. Honda Owner Manuals and original tool set are included. So far, I already learned how to swap out the windshield. (RSV quicker). For me, I want a shorter windshield and may elect to cut that extra long one. ridden it about 90 miles since Friday. Takes some getting used to. I am already practicing U-turns and slow maneuverings. Need to take it to Rick Butler to lower it a tad. I am still having emotional ties to the RSV and since it has been sold to my NY brother, it'll remain in the family. If the GW doesn't work out, I know I can sell it and get something else. but I have always been wanting to own one and see for myself. I'll keep Y'all posted.

if there are no objections to the old packing cafe, as well as the date of June 14, lets make it official!! the address is : 987 South Packinghouse Drive Sarasota, FL 34240 (941) 371-9358 Just off Palmer Blvd one street over from Cattleman My brother from NY, who bought my precious RSV will be down and he should be here joining us. IF...there are no objections to place and date??!!??!!! Then it's on !!!!!!!

I also contributed and thanks for the insight.

It looks like we are in agreement with location of Sarasota, just the actual place. I am down for the old packing...

A very sad day indeed . Thanks for sharing Donna. Just a stark reminder that we need to spend extra time and care when riding. One minor distraction can change a whole families dynamics instantly. Ride safe everyone.

great story... There are times we wished everyone was like that. but then, those people who do go above and beyond wouldn't be recognized as much.

I can see where Yoders may be much. I may just head out there anyway for breakfast and hang around town. I am down for the linger lodge. I took a solo road trip there with my RSV and it was a nice place. Everyone cool with that? how bout the date of June 14?
-
Was kicking around the idea in my head of our next M and E be a in the morning. there is a this Amish breakfast joint called Yoders, in Sarasota. I thought the ambiance, service and food was delightful. It is not a big place mind you, but its quaint and different. might be a good ride for many of us. Thoughts? My initial thought process was maybe June 14th? I am not available the weeks before and my wife leaves the weekend after on a trip. option B is lunch at the linger lodge, which is also in Sarasota. good food, a bit hard to find initially, but good atmosphere. just another chance to get together prior to the IR my 2 cents.....

welcome !! can you say JEALOUS!!! Anyway, as you can see, we are all so wonderful to each other and new additions, its beyond words. a couple of suggestions: 1- +1 on getting access to the members' phone numbers, emails and such. this is an easier way to track us down, based on where you are at, or where you intend to head. Many can suggest places to eat, sleep, park etc. 2- keep us posted of YOUR whereabouts. Check the calendar here at the site to see what events, rallies and what is up and coming near where you are. the yearly VR international is at last week in July, and it is in Alabama which is in your line of sight. 3- give us a way to contact you. I am sure you will get a few replies and can make some arrangements with others to wheel and deal a good day, time and location. 4- re read 1-3 I am about 45 miles North of Tampa. you can call, text or email me and if I happen to have to show you around, in this beautiful sunshine, well.....I guess I have no choice be safe in your travels. pulling the fairing so..audio question
Barrycuda replied to baylensman's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
+ 1 on all the previous comments and suggestions. Also, see if there are any wiring components that are touching each other. Can you zip tie any of them to prevent loosening up due to vibration? took mine apart, die electrical greased it all and zip tied where I can. ZERO radio issues... -
Saddlebags for more TP, diapers, and backside ointment. Oh, the other saddle bag has tools to fix in case the seat breaks while in use .... :rotf:

a 2nd gen would absolutely fall through some of those wooden bridges as well as the lakes he seemed to be riding in. A great video, but SCARY

I have a set of RK pipes, NEW...never used or put on a bike. I also have the center piece to attach to y pipe. if anyone is interested, send me a PM. I will be putting them up soon... -
I thought that was the storage center for all the parts that inadvertently fall off during riding?!?!

used to be 100% MOPAR. this what I used to have, and mind you, I'm a bit younger than some of Y'all. And at that time, a CRAP load poorer 1971 barracuda 440 six pack with stick shift, no clutch. Orange color 1967 dodge coronet 440, 2 door, blue with white top 1966 dodge coronet from original owner, who was a priest in Pennsylvania. 4 door. gray. special two tone woven bucket seats when I bought the car some time in 1983?? it only had 65,000 miles 1973 piece of sh*t Duster, which I called a RUSTER because it was a hunk of crap...

Ben, thanks for the kind words. I always want to help, be around and support fine people. that's why I am on this site. VR is the best site, even if Dion thinks I abandoned my RSV

That is some amazing scenery!!! Thanks for sharing. I get so jealous of you west coast guys! it is SO HARD for me to take enough time to head out that way. I am planning a 4-6 week trip in 2015, no matter what bike I may or may not have at the time. again, those are awesome pics!!!

100% always wear mine. My head is worth it. Also always wear a jacket boots, gloves and pants. Many times overpants and the jacket usually has some sort of"protection". PS: well said FF....sorry for your families pain.
