  1. Great thought Eck...
  2. Bobby always amazes me. No matter what the question, problem or topic. He comes armed with answers, ideas and knowledge. Same goes for quite a few of ya. Cool beans Bobby!!
  3. The biggest hit, money wise down here in Florida is uninsured motorist. Because this is a no fault state, Florida has created that loop hole to allow others to slam into you and not be at fault. Who pays for it in more than one way? Us of course, the conscience hard working chaps. Uninsured motorist coverage, just to protect you from some A-hole who chose to not care about doing what's right can jump your overall insurance from $250 a year give or take to $750-800 year per bike!!! Amazing this Florida. They could easily make revenue and stop claiming they are broke by having car safety inspections and mandatory insurance like they do back in my home state of NY/ and NYC. Nope....Florida doesn't know how or want to be proactive...in many things...
  4. Glad to hear things are being worked out. Although I have never met you, I can tell by the love you have for the members and the love they have for you, indicates you and your wife are exceptional people. glad it is working out. I agree with Mike, the HD....ugh....where do I begin??
  5. Excellent news! Good to know you are back on track. stay well.
  6. [quote=djh3;826555 Barry which 511 do you have. How do you like them? Dion, I have the 6" tactical boot called ATAC. Model number on tongue reads: 120204 12018 PFC 8635 picked them up last year, or 2 at Gander mountain in Ocala. came with cool looking boot knife. i use this waterproofing bees wax and other natural secret ingredients picked up at Bikeweek and it really does waterproof the leather. tested it on purpose in the rain and used the garden hose. water slides right off. the leathers do stay soft and pliable. I like them
  7. I was also flirting with an amp and what if any was being used and thought of as good. anyone??
  8. Can not go wrong with Rocky's...or any boot that makes you comfy.
  9. Like Dion, I also mainly wear wolverine boots. Also have a pair of 5.11 tactical boots. Both have been waterproofed and are extremely comfy for all day use. Although I have heard rocky does make an awesome boot.
  10. I wound up ordering carbon one adapter followed by going in halves with my NYC friend to pick up a pitbull. Wound up getting it for the BikeWeek/Daytona price. As a matter of fact, just today, I applied both adapter and jack and hoisted up pretty high, and it was sturdy. Must admit, it's still spooky having that bike up that high, but the jack didn't budge.... Both carbon one adapter and if you can split the cost of a pitbull or JS jack, go for it. My previous mistake was sending back the JS jack before getting the adapter otherwise that jack would have been just fine. Now I have to learn how to fix, and change things. Anyone wanna swing by???
  11. For those like myself, who are a bit younger and greener with bikes, riding and owning...explain why you feel your bike is the best for you. Pros.... Cons.... Etc
  12. +1 on utopia. Can't be beat
  13. Did you get tackled full force by a Sumo? Tearing all of them must have been a serious incident for that to occur
  14. Buddy, Sorry to hear about your knees. Scopes are not bad at all. Today, scopes are usually an out patient procedure. I would make sure you get a script for physical therapy. Do not over do on your personal time. One thing to remember is to not apply shearing forces. Meaning, never place your knees PAST your toes/foot when you lunge, squat or bend. Keep me posted.
  15. Black Owl is HARDCORE!!! that's awesome
  16. Carb extenders for me please!
  17. I tend to agree with DJH3/Dion on this. The Vulcan 800/900 or the honda 750 will give him years of problem free riding while learning about himself, the bike, the roads. I also would demand he take the MSF. IMO, should be mandatory throughout the country. When I took my MSF in 2003, I was the only one that NEVER was even on a motorcycle. Other hot shots been riding 420 years. Half of them failed the safety course. Have him learn safe, usable habits now that will keep him safe and possibly alive. Keep us posted.
  18. That's great to hear!!
  19. Pics of Indian sorry it took so long, I first had to learn how to crop them down to proper size after realizing I couldn't post the size they were
