  1. +1:mo money: The problem with :"Trailer? Zumo GPS, an assortment of small prizes with GPS, Cameras" is that anyone that has been riding awhile, aleady has one.. I suggested it last year...
  2. Thoughts and prayers from Penny and I to Linda and you.
  3. Came close one day doing exactly the same thing. Next time, put in first gear with the key off and squeeze the clutch in when you back it down the ramp. If the front wheel starts to slide, just let the clutch out and it will stop you... Glad your not hurt!
  4. nadaguides without options selected Suggested List Price Low Retail Average Retail Base Price $17,399 $8,030 $10,565 Options: (change) TOTAL PRICE: $17,399 $8,030 $10,565
  5. http://www.kbb.com/motorcycles/ 9705 retail 6805 trade-in ------------ 2900 difference /2 =1450 1450 +6805 -------- 8255................Over $2000 difference with NAdaguides......
  6. flyinfool_ that's why i said voluntary Gary N. from NADA for a 2007 midnight venture Suggested List Price Low Retail Average Retail Base Price $17,399 $8,030 $10,565 Options: (change) AM/FM Radio/CD/Aux w/Speakers $231 $388 CB Radio $68 $110 Engine Guards (Chrome) $48 $64 Cruise Control $30 $45 Fairing-Full $213 $284 Saddle Bags (Pair) $243 $283 Travel Trunk w/Rack $54 $72 TOTAL PRICE: $17,399 $8,917 $11,811 11,811 retail -8,917 trade-in ----------------- 2,894 / 2 = 1447 1,447 +8,917 --------- 10,364 This is what I would expect to get from my 07. I would keep it, if i couldn't and let the prospective buyer go to the dealer and pay another $1500, for the same bike... Granted, you probably won't get this price right now, but in the spring you will. The extras probably won't add significantly to value, unless you take them off and sell for 40%-50% of what you paid... some dealers take extras off their trade-ins and sell on ebay... That way, hopefully, they can sell you new bling when you buy the bike from them. These prices on NADA seem a little high? The Venture comes standard with all the options I selected??? Based on the going price for simular, bikes I would have thought closer to 9K.
  7. Perhaps a simple thread, placed in the right section would do. Something like "Used Venture Prices" After a member sold one they could voluntarily post to the thread? Any thoughts ?
  8. How much trouble would it be to add a sold price to the classified section? Quite a few have asked about their bikes value over the years. What better way than to actually see what they have ACTUALLY SOLD for.
  9. Penny and I will be praying for you both... Perhaps it's time to try a different hospital? ST. Josephs in Parkersburg,WV is excellent... Wouldn't go to Tomas Memmorial in Charleston...PERIOD! CMAC on Mckorkel seems to be a good one...
  10. Way to go Karen!:cool10:
  11. Land vehicles get "miles per gallon"(MPG) Boats get "gallons per mile"(GPM) BOAT also stands for "Break out another Thousand" Logic, doesn't matter though. If it makes your spouse happy. After all, you didn't buy that bike of yours to save on gas ...did you? EDIT* Hopefully the trailer was included in sale price, as boats can be pricey to store over the winter months...
  12. Mike, It's big of you to admit to your mistake.... To post here, so that others can learn "from" your mistake, is payment enough... IMHO...
  13. Here's the one I would buy if I were in the market or a trike... http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4765&title=2008-yamaha-venture-with-hannigan-trike-kit&cat=4 Heck, I'll even run you down, if you don't mind riding ***ch...
  14. As EasyRider has returned, I have had my userid changed from "Easy Rider", back to "CaptainJoe", to avoid confusion. Welcome Back EasyRider!
  15. Deluge of rain here in WV ths weekend.... As there hasn't been a large response to this, I'm gong to head to Washington DC on 9/11. I'm Leaving tue. morning (9/10) on Rt 33 from SANDYVILLE, WV. 19. I'm thinking about getting the queen size 2" thick closed cell memmory pad from SAMS club. Believe it was $65? Would then throw out the sectional foam that came with the trailer...
  20. I read somewhere that the blue color is suppose to be the origional shade from the very first indians prduced...
  21. +1 on its not going to end well The next 90 days will most likely tell the story. Hopefully he has excellent health insurance. He should also get accidental death and dismemberment. As far as talking to the salesman... who knows what the neighbor told him... A 250 cc is an excellent beginner bike for someone less than 130 lbs A 650cc is an excellent beginner bike for someone less than 190 lbs A 900cc is an excellent beginner bike for someone over 200 lbs. IMHO The Busa is a Liquid-cooled 1340cc Inline Four, 16-valves, 178hp, top speed limited to 184mph "but can easily be cured" I cannot begin to imagine how much the insurance would be for that bike.... Crazy High HP, no MSF, No experince =
  22. Would Have to be some kind of crazy strong duck tape to take me off of the RSV, but, if it did , I'd hope that I was still alert enough to see who was filming/laughing aka (deserving a beat down)... LOL
  23. & CarbonOne Like the David Lee Roth music, but don't see info on rt 66??? Whats it under?
  24. You need a "Over 5 day ride" for Leo3Wheel...
