  1. Congrats!
  2. 200,000 Not likely unless it's water cooled. 100,000 mi. possible if you change the oil regularly and drive it with some sense...
  3. Congratulations Grandpa! It's always good to get presents before Christmas!
  4. Looks like a 12 volt connection to an adult accessory. Wait a minute... only Harley riders use those...:stirthepot:
  5. Then quit going to the Veteranians.. LOL:buttkick: Seriously though... you've had more than your share of bad luck.... Penny and I will pray for your family...
  6. word of caution... if you do lasik, it will kill your up close vision...which was ok by me...only 10% of what I do is up close and the $5-7 glasses from wallmart help out...
  7. I wouldn't bolt the axle down till it was completed, hooked up to your bike and loaded to the 480 lbs. (including cooler ice and favorite adult beverages) The distance from the center of tongue to center of axle must be at least 1.5 times the axle width. (if memory serves me),easy enough to check , there's a lot of info on trailers on internet. Agree the further back the axle is, the more stable a load is, BUT, it will also put more weight on your bike. An RSV has a limit of 45 LBS? tongue weight so you may have to move the axle forward(but not past the minimum stated above) to allow the trailer carry most of the load. Whats a Goldwings limit? Maiden voyage should be behind a pickup truck with tail gate down. That way you can test the old girl out before you put your a$$ on the line..LOL AKA less of a pucker factor... Good Luck! P.S. Remember, there's a reason they call it the bleeding edge, Be SAFE...
  8. There key words there is NON ETHANOL. Non Ethanol or Recreational fuel is good for up to 6 months... 10% Ethanol fuel is good for up to 2 months
  9. Glad your making out ok. Just make sure to do those range of motion exercises (fingers walking up the wall) religiously and you should be fine. I envy you on the snowmobiling. We don't get enough snow to justify the cost...
  10. If elgible, the VA system in Clarksburg,WV.will give You glasses every 2 years.. I'm not elgible but my wife is. We both got lasic surgery in columbus, Oh., to correct our log distance vision 10 years ago for $5000. She still gets her up-close glasses for free ad I get mine at walmart +1.5 for $7.00 We both have 20/20 vision after all this time and only change upclose as needed.
  11. To bad ALINER doesn't make a motorcycle friendly version...http://www.aliner.com/campers They are the coolest hard sided campers I'e ever seen ... **Update** just contacted Aliner in kecksburg, Pa. will let you know what their response is...
  12. Penny and I will pray for him...
  13. I'd be concerned about the effect of a strong wind pushing on something 5'x12'. When in Cody a couple years back i watched as Tom and Cathy got their Goldwing pushed into the other lane by a gust of wind.
  14. While I side with our police 99.9 percent of the time, this police chief definately has issues and has an Adolf Hitler mentality... He needs to go.
  15. Na... I meant more along the lines that Kevin could pay for it now and pick up at Venture west.
  16. I'm probably going to get flamed for this but I have a pretty thick skin. People are getting more and more intolerant and politically correct. Not just here, but everywhere in general.. We use to have, some rather colorful conversations and it was actually very interesting to see who was stirring the pot everyday and respond. These I really miss. Keeping the lines of communication "open" is not an option. If we don't, it's going to get worse... Just like on the hill in DC
  17. Nothing... When life hands you lemons... make lemonade... Or snow cones in your case...Ha! Use to hate snow, mainly because i got to shovel it at least once a day, back in Portage Pa. Then a friend got me to try skiing and I loved it. Couldn't wait to get off work to ski... Then came the snowmobiles etc... (Think motorcycle with skis... They are tons of FUN!) Don't get me wrong, I still find no joy in shoveling snow. Purchased an electric winch and snow plow for my four wheeler and now it's more like play than work. Hey, you can't take it with you:mo money:
  18. Perhaps something to promote Venture West?
  19. Hunting or drinking?...
  20. My God Man... You're only 350 miles from Killington VT! The Best place, on the east coast ... to ski or board ...bar NONE! Learn to ski or board, or, remain miserable in the winter.... P.S. Winters longer in the north...
  21. Everything's upside down right now.... maybe a sighn of things equalizing out in the NFL?............... Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...LoL
  22. bob, From the last in the AFC east, to one that is, last in the AFC north .............. Chill out The games not over till the fat lady sings!
  23. It's just a game guys... I'm a STEELERS fan myself, but, look, how many times the Steeler's have been SPANKED this year... Oooooooooooooooooouch!
  24. I'll bet you could! Ha! Although... you might need oxygen, insulation and possibly some type of heat shield for re-entry... Train would would be best way to get there, but would still want to ride a bike on those twisties... even if it was a 250
  25. Glad to hear it. Hey, all the more money for bling and trips in the future... I need to tear mine down for cleaning, greasing and head bearing adjustment.
