  1. Know exactly how you feel: I was the "Joe... can do it guy"... In my experience ... it wasn't worth it....
  2. A tribute to my aunt Emma.. A nurse that cared for eveyone... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jS6qg6gTZ8]Helene Fischer - Ave Maria - Includes German Lyrics with English Translation .m2ts - YouTube[/ame] Please, left mouse click off of the political B.S.... She will truly be missed... LOVE, Joe
  3. Just got back from my ride . Only got up to 69... Is it me or is this just not right? Blow up motorcycles with santa and blow up John deere tractor on the roof?
  4. I hear ya. WV dodged that bullet... going to be bad for you and New England folks... Plan on riding from 10 am and getting back at 4:30 as that's when The Steelers play GB... Suppose to be near 70 deg! WooooooooooHoo!
  5. Greece is a bad example, eh?... LOL Is this really what you want: http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/the-financial-collapse-of-greece-the-canary-in-the-coal-mine-for-the-global-economy
  6. Going on a ride tomorrow in central WV... Perhaps N. Bend area, or, even Williams River? If, the bike(s) get's any "road salt " on it, or, not... SO BE IT!... I Don't give a damn!... It washes off... I've gotta ride clyde! Who's with me? PM me and we'll do this right...
  7. I hear ya my wife's the same way.. Man... I'm really liking that kendonusa... but... I'm thinking I could fabricate one for under $1000... not including labor of course... Like that it's really low to the ground and requires less than 200 lbs tongue weight. A lightweght 1 1/4" hitch is good for 200 lb tongue weight and 2000 lb towing.. well within the weight range of a Second Gen.... the kendon: Weight: 300 lbs Capacity: 1000 lbs Standing Height: 89 inches Max Width: 72 inches Max Length: 114 inches Depth: 27 inches I also have a Harbor freight trailer. The problem with them is: #1 they are to high and can get you into trouble loading and unloading. remember it's a 1000 lb bike... the kendon has a spring loaded offset axle which is way lower... #2 unless you know a good welder ... they are way to flimsy as cowpuc related...
  8. There was talk on the news this morning that quite a few of our veterans are not going to re-enlist because of this... Guess we're one step closer to a Draft.
  9. An old man went to the Doctor complaining that his wife could barely hear. The Doctor suggested a simple test to determine the extent of the problem. "Stand far behind her and ask her a question. If she doesn't respond, move closer and ask again. Keep doing this until she can hear you and then we'll decide what to do." The old man, excited to finally be working on a solution, hurries home and sees his wife preparing supper. Standing about 20 feet away, the man asks, "Honey, what's for supper?" After receiving no response, he tried it 15 feet away, and again no response. Then again at 10 feet away and still no response. Finally he was 5 feet away and asked, "Honey, what's for supper?" His wife replied, "George! For the fourth time, it’s lasagna!"
  10. Merry Christmas! Have fun but please, don't drink and drive... If you over do it, designate a driver, call a cab, or, make other arrangements.... If your hosting, make sure people make smart choices... Lets make this a safe and happy holiday season.
  11. prioritizing In a household you take care of your commitments first... then do the extras... "If" the gov worked that way, we wouldn't be having this discussion about soc. sec., cost of living increases, etc... Vote the people out that don't recognize this basic principle...
  12. If it were up to me, sir, your vote and anyone else that has served in our military for 20 years or more, would count twice... Also... it's unheard of in civilian life to "not be" vested after 5 years..." what's up with that"... A 40 hr work week, IS non existant in the military ... pay them time and a half on +40 hr work week, and, double time on holidays... YOUR GETTING IT WHY SHOULDN'T THEY!... As I said before, "Re-instate Draft: everyone must serve like in Israel... (we're gonna need it as no one is going to stay in) " Our Senators, Congressman, Legislators are going to have to see (their sons and daughters) put in harms way... Lets see how "that pans out" BET THERE WOULD BE FEWER CONFLICTS!... I'm done... Hopefully the veterans amongst us will keep their kin from volunteering... My oldest daughters out, I'm trying to get her husband out
  13. I overfill mine on purpose.. Steve and Ray, the guys I ride with, have Harleys... I just didn't want them to feel bad.. The things a guy has to do to keep his buds happy...Jeeeeeeesh!
  14. Around here people seem to be respecting those spaces. Krogers, the local food store here in Ripley has ample handicapped parking. However, after these spaces were marked with blue lines and signs, they they put in regular non-handicapped spaces at the end of the each row. (between the handicapped spaces and the store). Been like this for at least two years and the have bee told about it...
  15. Congratulations!... You've got a keeper!
  16. Probably a dumb question but when is the lat time you checked the pressure in your tire(s)? Last month, mine started to do same thing, I was about 20 lbs. low on the front..
  17. Hope you remember all of this come November... Some people have short memories.... WE NEED: Two term limits for our congressman and senators... (was never intended to be a career) Re-instate Draft: everyone must serve like in Israel... (we're gonna need it as no one is going to stay in) PS. 10,9,8,...
  18. The sad thing is ... You know there are people out there, that will buy them... They are amoungst us.... Be afraid... Be very afraid....
  19. Penny and I will pray for Neville and the entire family. I also lost my little brother John some years back. We will meet them again someday.
  20. Absolutely! They deserved that and much much more. I didn't catch it till now. Wonder why? it was held last Memorial day? That's an awful young looking Megan Kelly... Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuf!
  21. Pretty cool. looks like someone hacked their store page though... I like the brakes and larger wheels idea...
  22. I tried out multiple exerciser bikes... was hard to find one that fit... It's not only the seat height (leg lightly bent at bottom of stroke) but also distance from seat to handelbars.. Have TREK bikes for Penny and I and I can definately tell a difference if I hop on hers by mistake. Ediddy, so your the one they are building all this exercise equiptment to fit... Dang You! I unfortunately have short legs and a tall upper body. really makes it interesting when I shop for shirts... 29" inseam and 6' tall Definately have a plumbers crack going alot of the time... Oh well, I can't see it:whistling:
  23. The smile on her face says it all ... Brings back memories of when I was 18 on my 175 Yamaha Enduro... WooooooHo!
  24. Dan, I believe we all hit ruts from time to time. I'd go to a gym if they weren't so far away. My favorite method of getting in shape is swimming laps... closest lap pool to me is 45 min. away, so that isn't going to happen. Just make sure you do a little every day... Just don't overdo it... Don't know how many times i started out doing to much resulting in injuries and time off. Tomphil, Agreed, However... some of them are more expensive than others...
  25. If i knew what model that fit penny and I, that would have been an option. Some of the machines i got on just felt awkward. Could definately do that with treadmills MikeGinSC I'm not gonna go there... cause my wife definately reads "over my shoulder" from time to time:rotf:
