  1. The solution is quite simple... QUIT DOING STUFF THAT INTEFERS WITH YOUR BIKE RIDING! I'M DONE....
  2. Read somewhere that you should use a piece of waxpaper(between punch point and tank lip) to prevent sparks... to add to the list... I would also do this outside...LOL:rotf: Myself, I just take an exta gallon along in my saddlebag... The guys I ride with, have Harleys and can go 250-300 mi per tank, but like was said before, at 150 miles I'm ready to get off and streech legs... a.e They was averaging 50 MPG to my 42 MPG.
  3. I would highly recommend Baker Air Wings... http://www.bakerbuilt.com/bbairwings/index.htm
  4. Dan, I'm up for doing it in two two days if circumstances dictate.. I can assure you, I'm in no rush.. As we're both retired, time is not a consideration...
  5. Enjoy my friend, it only gets better from here on out! See you in a couple of weeks...
  6. EUSA1, I'm hoping I like it, mainly because it's a BP product and all... Don't really care to spend a few more dollars. Thanks!
  7. You will be in Penny and my prayers....
  8. Cool, this will make oil changes easier . Will let everyone know about clutch whine... Almost non existant with Yamalube 20-50.
  9. My guess would be some form of steroid. If you get hungry a lot and/or a sour stomach... McDonalds and Wendys are both good... especially if you want to make time. This morning I found a flat rear tire with about 2500 mile on it. Hope its not toast cause I'll play hell getting one at this late date...
  10. Plus it BP-(no middle eastern oil) Thanks Brian
  11. It's SL, JASO MA-2 Went with the 20w-50 so the clutch wouldn't whine
  12. I'm betting they are at that "clothing store that sells bikes":rotf:
  13. Anyone running this in their RSV? Just bought 4 quarts as I don't want to make a trip to the city for 4 quarts... Plus: Advance Auto sells which is kind of handy...
  14. I'll can take your mind off of that leg problem you have... You see, your not going to want to follow a 2nd gen all the way to the IR... Although I guess I could slow up for you so you could keep up?.
  15. At the 12 second mark (19:31:16) it looks like the rear brake came on...? Yellowish in color?? Could I guess be glare, but it sure looke like a rear brake light to me.
  16. As far as the video, the biker cut in front of the cage, gestured (who knows what happened before that), hard accelerated for a couple seconds and then hit his brakes... Very stupid thing to do... As the end result proves... P.S. Most people do not have dashcams...interesting... Take note of cage drivers attitude... he cares more for his car than for the guy he just hit...
  17. Don, Congratulations on the new bike. As we all know every bike has its strengths and weaknesses. That's a good looking bike. ENJOY! Besides, you probably feel a whole lot better losing all that weight... Just kidding...
  18. ooooooooooooouch!
  19. I'd have stayed where I was, and braked hard to get her dumb a$$ past me. Your will loose if she swerves and puts you in a ditch... Besides, do you not think, she already knows doing such a thing would upset you? They are out there.... amongst us
  20. It's not a RSV or he could simply move the accessories over.... One down! Keep talkin Don.... I just hope for your sake it isn't air cooled..
  21. or you could sell both bikes privately and get the difference between wholesale and retail $1500? or more if you have accessories on the bikes.. I never trade bikes in... It's a good way to get raped...
  22. Just checked the indian site: http://www.indianmotorcycle.com/ Sill no sign of a water cooled engine... I think we're safe for the time being...
  23. Never even considered the Indian... Although if it were touring, water cooled and up to date, with old timey sporty bad boy looks(think Fatboy touring machine with destinctive Indian markings )... Huuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Thought it was going to be unveiled at Sturgis? in August??
  24. If I were buying a new one... Honda Goldwing airbag (for safety).... but then I have a 29" inseam... Don't think you, would be happy with the foot placement as you are quite a bit taller than I and your wife won't be anywhere near as comfortable. 2013 RSV is exactly the same as what you have... Victiories are butt ugly. IMHO:duck: Harleys are air cooled, hot, loud and vibrate way to much. Urals - although looks like they would fun to ride on -200 mile trip, wouldn't cut it, 500-600 miles cross country... Vespas are to slow Canams - even less leg room than a Goldwing. Then again... If, and I say if, Yamaha comes out with a new RSV Gen 3 in 2015 you'll be kicking yourself. I personally am gonna wait and see what happens....
  25. I feel you pain... I'm going to wipe windows8 off of this computer as it' been one headache after the other... Let us know after a long trip how your liking that new shock...
