  9. At the rate American dentists are going, this ype of service could be a reality here in a few years . There is no pain akin to toothaches. That woman I'm sure was glad there was someone around she could afford. Ragtop69.... errrrrrrr pass! lol This Greengos staying north of the border... Although I do head for the border from time to time to get my steak chalupe Supremes... Mike G in SC... that's a real possibility...thanks!
  10. I'm going to get dentures, if I can find someone to pull my teeth. The dentists around here won't, period, exclamation point. don't care if I have to go to florida to do so.... I'm a grinder and although half my front teeth are good they are ground down. All of the back grinding teeth are shot and I'm not doing implants.
  11. Although I'm going to do so in WV as I bought a farm along the ohio river... I can assure you this... If I chose to live in Oklahoma.... It would be in an underground home.... I've seen some extremely bad weather during my life but an F5 tornado is the MAC DADDY of All storms.... And it will definitely ruin your day!
  12. Where do you get em??? No one around here will even talk about doing it...
  13. I feel for ya. Was told the other day they needed to replace one of my caps... $1000 It was $600 10 YEARS AGO when the root canalwas performed and anchors were set. So... he wants a cool Grand just to pull old chipped cap off and cement a new one on????
  14. So that's one day in the life of a retired guy,,,, how did your day go?? A lot like yours my friend. A most of you know I bought a JD 440ICD bulldozer while back. At 3 tons i can easily haul it on a normal car trailer. It had a inner 6 way manual blade and I bought a inner 6 way hydraulic blade for it. After replacing $500 of hydraulic hoses I discovered the tilt ram was bent and one of the bottom lugs was gone. Found it as cheaper to replace than repair. then when I went to bolt new one up noticed the brackets were bent? what??? someone had welded a chain hook to the side of the tilt shroud and distorted the bejesus out of it. Took my cutting torch and cut it off. bent the pieces back and rewelded. then when i went to bolt up, the top wasn't even close. they must have welded on the top shroud after the tilt shroud got bent. Ok... I cut that off as well and welded it where it was suppose to be, ensuring a full range of movement (level to full tilt) No wonder the lug broke off the bottom and the ram bent... talk about an all dayer...
  15. These hills are what's killing me... Some of the signal calculators have my area as a DEAD ZONE!
  16. What do you think about this commercial outdoor EXtreme deep fringe antenna .. http://www.antennacraft.net/Antennas/AntennasAllChannel.html for $165
  17. That's fantastic! Congratulations! From the sounds of it, he's been busting his butt! A celebration is in order...
  18. Jeff, is there amp in the antenna, or, is it amplified at the tv?
  19. Thanks for posting this I am fed up with the cost of dish network... I'm sure we're not alone on this one! Save the :mo money:for our bikes...
  20. Thanks Brian, intend to preamp it. I have one on my old antenna and it does help fight signal loss. It's the type that plugs in behind your tv and sends power to a amplifier that is about 8" away from the antenna. coax from antenna goes into this and coax out to tv. Just remember towers are rated for load, so make sure the tower will support what you put on it. I have seen towers come down from adding one more antenna, and they don't bend pretty. As long as it supports my 230 lbs I'm thinking it will handle a couple aluminum antennas...lol (i hope) The pre amp+ amp vs stacking with a combiner is all the way you look at it. When the Govt changed to digital they took snow away. You either get a signal or you don't , the stacking you should use the same antenna above / below each other, cable length between antennas the same length into the combiner. It's not right or wrong but what works for you. Actually your picture will be true hi def vs cable or dish. so... two identical antennas, spaced vertically the same distance as the widest elements, pointed exactly same way, with equal cable length, going into a combiner?, followed by, pre-amped will give me max signal?...WITH GROUNDING...(8'copperclad 5/8" grounding bar attached to bottom of tower or to the top) any suggestions on specific: antenna, combiner, rotor to use? Thanks guys...
  21. A few of the articules said to stay away from the ones promising 150 mile range... That a large old type directional antenna combined with a rotor, would pic up the signls just a well, if not better That's why i'm asking...LOL my older (more than 10yrs old) Tv's required a converter as th swere set up t receive an analog signal.... All/most tvs produced today are digital.
  22. All the bands you're looking for will be covered by a standard UHF/VHF TV antenna. Right now i have a standard channel master 12' directional fm antenna 17 yrs old and am getting 4 channels high quality without a rotor. (my old ones toast) with a rotor i will easily pick up four more. Just looking for maximum channels. was hoping for a newer more powerful antenna.
  23. i have cable and satellite...just getting tired of paying them good money for 3-30 year old movies and commercials. going to go with netflix and download new movies Depends how far you are from transmitters? 45 mi. are you on a high point or in a valley? valley line of sight or are hills, trees in the way. yes to both Are the transmitters all in the same or similar direction? most are in a southern direction there are tricks also to canting an antenna to give it a larger profile as well as height adjustments... zipcode 25275 http://receptionmaps.com/ http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=90 Is there something I can buy to determine signal strength "like when your lining up satellite dishes"?:
  24. looking to buy an outside TV antenna rotor and tower... Need to receive UHF/VHF/FM/SDTV/HDTV Looking at : http://www.tvantennasale.com/Lava-HD-2605-Ultra-Outdoor-TV-Antenna-p/lavahd2605ultra.htm would like to have remote control rotor: http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?p=CM9521A&mc=03&d=Channel-Master-CM9521A-TV-Antenna-Rotator-System-with-InfraRed-Remote-%28CM9521A%29&sku=CM9521A&utm_campaign=daily_run&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=shopping-com_03_Antenna_Rotators and a sturdy tower approx 30'? Any an all advice appreciated. Switched to satellite for a while to get rid of commercials.... that didn't last long... and for the programming...all repeats ad even the premium movie channels are running movies that are20-30 years old... Now that the local tv stations are HD why pay for something I can get for free? need to save the for road trips...
  25. Drop the front down 1 inch in triple clams and rotate tube(s) so you can air up without having to install risers. I've got a 29" inseam and can stand flat footed now. Planning on getting the Butler seat mod in June...
