  1. That's a grate idea also... although, I kinda like the idea of getting everyone together...
  2. August is fine... I'll see what I can do for WV... Perhaps even combine some states since there is rather large cluster of us on the east coast... If it's within our state, I vote for the new river Bridge or a longer Black water Falls/Cass RR ride.
  3. Never meet the man, but he must have been something special with all those testifying on his behalf. Pennys and my thoughts and prayers for him and his family... as well as his extended family.
  4. Take the chrome cover off of bottom of windshield. It is most likely the metal bracket(s) that hold your windshield on are loose. Happened to me a couple years ago and about drove me nuts till I found it. Happened mostly when i hit a sharp bump...
  5. Godspeed Jane and Charlie...
  6. I guess the trailer could be for a second gen.. You see, it will be quite a few years before even the first, second gen Hits the "Antique" mark... Sometimes, they are trailered, to save wear and tear on the riders body. RareLy are they trailered because they are BROKE DoWN...
  7. The Bagger shield is a little thicker than stock(OEM windshield). The two outer screws (on the inside of the mirrors) are what hold the chrome trim piece in place. After thoroughly tightening the outer(under chrome piece) windshield screws. Insert chrome piece and start the two inner top most screws, located between your mirrors on the inside. Then start other screws on inside of faring. AFTER all screws are started... TIGHTEN them all up...EDIT * Don't go overboard this is plastic...ENDEDIT * DO NOT USE LOCTITE...the faring is ABS
  8. Your also butt ugly? Ya know I'm just pulling your leg... Better listen to the Dr., You don't want to fool around and do something Permanent....
  9. That may very well be a second Gen Turtle crossing, but that trailer behind the sign is for a 1st gen...
  10. Yammer Dan, If you bought a second gen, you could actually "RIDE IT HOME...":stirthepot: Now there's a concept.... Right SKID?...
  11. Good luck in your new job. It' refreshing to see someone actually wanting to work. Hopefully, they treat you better than they did at your old job. Good employees deserve comperable pay. Everyone should take a lesson from CostCo... I hope I'm wrong, but, I think a major market adjustment/**** storm is coming....
  12. Nope... They allow them in all lanes... Although I personally tend to stay in the middle lane as +5 mph on the posted speed limit, is more than fast enough for me...LOL
  13. Getting back to stirring the pot... Dano, Do you guys run antique plates on those early 1st Gens?...
  14. Prairiehammer, Printing the business cards out on your own printer is also a good option. Was mainly thinking about those that don't have the printers, or, card stock on hand. The hardest thing to do is to identify your market base so as not to throw money into the wind... It's the perfect opportunity to hand them out, when people come to you, wanting to actively promote the club by purchasing flags, domed decals, t'shirts. Another opportunity would be at MD's and club events like the International rallies and such...
  15. Just a passing thought: If you charged $.50 more for the Items (flags, decals etc...), You could get 250-1000 or so business cards made up, and include 3 with each item purchased. The Image on the cards could be like the domed decals... That way members actively supporting this site, could easily promote it as well.
  16. Personally, I would just get a bright cover to hide all your goodies. The cheap ones are not waterproof, but would hopefully protect you from someone accidentally knocking your bike over because they didn't see it... Besides... If you've been riding it all day , it's already dirty... on ebay for $20-25 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-Cover-Large-Cruiser-Touring-ds78n5/290714598434?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D8500231874166571732%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D290714598434%26
  17. You do not want the oil to get to low either... The stator will get hot and fry itself...
  18. I take it She reads your threads also? Congratulations! Family, is truly the most important thing in our lives...
  19. Well, I guess that would be in my top ten of "Getting Lucky" Penny and I will be praying for a speed recovery...
  20. Your "Brain is hurting because your not riding enough" Get up tomorrow morning and get a few miles under your belt...
  21. Many times on a dirt bike... It was fun! Would definately SUCK, on a Touring bike...
  22. Think its suppose to be in center if flown alone or on the right. (when sitting on the bike). http://www.legionriders193.com/flag.htm http://www.rollingthundertn3.com/documents/flag_placement_on_your_scooter.html
  23. I've got mine, but, don't have anything to display it and my American flag from:stickpoke: Might need a third one for a NRA flag also, considering the actions of a few WV teachers... Thought someone was gonna get us a code for a discount:confused24: Right Don? I would like two that mount from the rear of the saddle bag guards. Seen some heavy duty ones at MD but can't remember where they came from??? They were near frogmasters bike.
  24. Sorry folks but we didn't have a camera along.. This is an excellent ride any time of year, but is at it's best after the leaves have fallen in the fall.
