  1. Price lowered on RSV, see kd4uvc on 2nd generation ads.
  2. Come on, give me a reasonable offer. I do mean reasonable.
  3. I am not wearing a helmet when I drive my truck or Jeep. I do not wear my helmet all the time. PPPPPPHHHHHTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!
  4. Give me 10k and it's yours. I cannot deliver that far for free though.
  5. If you find someone which wants a good bike, send them my way. I will deliver for money.
  6. I am posting my motorcycle for sale here on the forum. I will take reasonable offers. I hate not being with a motorcycle but it's safer that way. Reasonable offers accepted. You can see it in the classified. It is a great running motorcycle.
  7. My brother, P35-HP, bought his at Lawrenceville Honda.
  8. Hey, I know this is an old post but in some states, it is illegal to pass a leo on the right. Even if you don't know why, you must assume he is controlling the speed for a particular reason. He could ticket you for that reason, in Bama, he could arrest you for reckless endangerment.
  9. Stay on the interstate around that part of Georgia. It is the king of speed traps. Stay away from Ludowicki at all costs or it will be all costs. Worst speed trap in the US.
  10. Got mine mounted under the fairing, Sirius. No problems except in central Florida. Know it was not the mounting because the truck, roof mount, had the same problems. The cradle is permanently glued to the windshield and no problems with vibration. Have a GPS sitting on the opposite side and like the setup.
  11. In the south, the RSV's are sometimes hard to find. YammyHammy does not push this bike, therefore, they don't sell much, therefore they don't get good sales numbers, therefore, they dont push the bike...
  12. By the way, the local dealer near me is going out of business due to customer satisfaction issues. The dealer next door, Harley Davidson, is doing everything he can to have good customer service: Live bands, Open 7 days a week, Long hours, He walks around and talks with customers so to get feedback, etc. I just wanted to try out a different bike. Oh, I do use independant shops.
  13. Find a good independant shop nearby with a good reputation. Harley Davidson does a much better job with customer service than metrics and some will order parts and work on your bikes with good results. Independant motorcycle shops need repeat customers to bring in the money so they will work hard. Dealers don't give a damn.
  14. Lookout Mountain Parkway from Gadsden, AL to Chattanooga, TN. During the ride you will come to a place at Rising Fawn, GA above Trenton, GA. They fly hang gliders and ultra-lite trikes there.
  15. How about the forgotten Gulf coast; US 19, FL 24 to Cedar Key, and oh, the food at Cedar Key.
  16. As a former Harley rider, I got a lot of ribbing because of supposed bolts falling off, oil leaks, etc... I found out that all bikes, no matter the manufacturer, needs to be tightened on a regular basis. Harley is active in the vibration/loosening of bolts issues more than others. Their engine is a 45 degree offset, the most unbalanced engine made. They are very proud of that. They had to get tough to keep bolts on. A good check every service is a safe thing to do.
  17. I see Harbor Freight took notice of the kits built by their 40 x 48 trailers. I built one several years ago and used the Sears 20 Cubic Ft cartop carrier. This one looks nice. I would lengthen the tongue 18" for stability and add a 24 x 30" cooler rack to the tongue. Mine was very stable empty, pulled very nice and it had no sway at 80 mph passing an 18 wheeler. I got this recommendations from several which had kit bashed the trailer. I went with the 12" over the 8" tires. This is just preference for looks. A good machinist could mount matching motorcycle tires using bearings and machining spindles. Would have to machine an endcap. Very handy and practical. I did wire the Hoppy 5 wire to 4 wire converter and mounted under the car top carrier. Pulled it full of stuff on my honeymoon.
  18. Got the work done, only the low idle jets were changed. The epa needle was adjusted. Barely ran with the enrichner pulled tight. Will now start with the bump of the starter and no enrichner. Cleaning of carbs, changing low idle jet settings, tweaking the carbs. Much greater starting power. Lost 3 hp and 2 ft/lb, possibly due to temp and high humidity. Throttle is instantaneous and crisp. $500 to take apart, clean, change, dyno, and dyno, and dyno. He still has the bike because I want a sirius satellite antenna installed under fiberglass of fairing. Shaking front end due to last person changed tire himself and bubble balanced, not spin balanced. Good changes on dyno curves. Very happy with response now. Can see and truely compare to the Hundred Dollar bike. I kept it stock, no new pipes or intakes. This will stay with stock pipes and intakes. It will be a good comparison. Working on finding a bluetooth xmitter which plugs into the headset plug on the bike so I can link every to a bluetooth headset. Learning and will let you know what I find out. New things are just now coming out.
  19. As far as the mech charging me, he has been way more fair than any other I've dealt with in a few years. The Harley got new rear tires on average 4 times a year. I was in shops alot trying to find quality and price value. The mech has a high rep in the area as a fair and reputable business.
  20. 1. I just bought this bike for cash. 2. Noticed a major problem due to comparing with another motorcycle. 3. There are places where you can see pipes without the shields covering them up. 4. Have over 1/4 million miles on motorcycles, trust dynos, especially when I see them being calibrated by the manufactor. 5. Worked as a motorcycle prototype test rider for an American Motorcycle company for 93 and 94. 6. Know when a motorcycle wants to die when it is not getting the correct fuel/air mixture when opening a throttle from the start. 7. Seen the data of calibrated diagnostic equipment. Allowed other trusted experienced riders test and we all came up with the same diagnosis. Lean issues or vacuum issues. 8. 16 Years experience in prototype and production level testing of 2 and 4 wheel vehicles and this puppy is sick. I know that the motorcycle is adjusted lean due to EPA standards and that within itself makes it a sick puppy. The 1300CC engine should be putting more torque and horsepower than a stock Harley. I just sold a stock Harley with 105k miles which I put on the bike in 3 1/2 years. I ride year round. 9. The mechanic knows more than you would guess and has more intelligent experience than all the dealer mechanics in the entire south. The bike fuel mixture is dangerously high because the manufacturer cares only about sales and passing EPA standards.
  21. Talked with him yesterday, the rejetting is calculated on the fuel/air mixture, not a performance mod. The level is determined by the dyno test. It has no power at low rpm's. It is a sick puppy. I am comparing it to the '07 my brother has. Will keep informed as to the changes and if it actually helps.
  22. The way it is running, I would lose against a 250 Honda Rebel in the 1/4 mile.
  23. The rejetting is because the bike is running dangerously lean. It is turning my pipes blue. The additional hp is an added bonus.
  24. Prototypes will be built until one month before the final build go ahead. Worked for HD at TTF and Mercedes in Vance. Don't give up hope. I've seen fall products released early and months later, due to the last production trial.
