  1. OK if you insist, then go with Rick's stator but be warned, higher output stators = higher heat generation. This leads to shorter life, especially down south where you have a lot of heat to begin with. I used Buckeye on mine with no problems so far but it's only been in service 1 1/2 years...
  2. Actually I'm thinking all you need is the R/R from what you described. As long as the 3 AC voltages are within 1% or 2% they are probably OK. Measure them with the R/R disconnected...
  3. The yellow line is the brake light line. You will find all you need behind the licence plate light, the brown, blue, green and yellow, and black ground inside the chrome piece...
  4. Is anybody bringing the required tools for this to the International??
  5. I've never made it thru Windy City on I90 without coming to a complete stop at least 5 times and lucky to do faster than 25 MPH! It's like it's a perpetual traffic jam! I have no issue with 80MPH bumper to bumper traffic, it's the sloooow trip thru the city that makes me want to avoid it like the plague...
  6. Well, there's Spear, and Aussie Annie and Quickstep...
  7. Send a PM to member Dingy, I think he might have some info on collectors...
  8. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Carl!! Welcome to "seasoned Citizen" status!!

  10. Fleabay perhaps??
  11. No, it does not work for 1st gens. The neck on the tank is above the tank, not level with the tank...
  12. Happy belated Birthday my friend! See you next month!
  13. Of course we will be glad to pray for you!! I'm sad to hear of your development but glad the prognosis is good! Keep the positive attitude!
  14. Barry, one thing that wasn't mentioned, if you did get a Wing or any different bike it does NOT mean you have to leave this site!! We have several members that have Wings, HD's, Victorys, etc. and are still part of the family. By the responses in this thread alone it is obvious you have many people who like you and consider you a friend so stick around regardless...
  15. Unplug pin 30 and 87 and connect them together and see if your driving lights light or does the 15 amp fuse blow. If they light up ok then you miswired something with your switch...
  16. Sounds like the classic joke, what do you get when you cross a (insert ethnic group of your choice here) and an oriental??? A car thief that can't drive...
  17. And we have a nice quiet location across the street too!!!
  18. Reiny, can it be plugged into a cigarette lighter? If so your bike has one of those...
  19. Thanks Frank! Our route is subject to change without notice! It all depends on how far we get Friday. I've taken the I355 route before on the way to the PIP and it seemed OK. Heavy traffic is OK but traffic JAMS are not!! I90 thru Chicago just plain sux!!!
  20. Yup! I am anti Metzler too!!!
  21. Yup! That's why I took my wife everywhere I went! When them big brutes decide to take a nap you aren't gonna change their mind! I could almost get it upright but needed just a wee extra boost to convince it nap time was over...
  22. I've been using Bosch for a while from Auto Zone but yes the Purolator is a good choice.
  23. Yah! I was thinking bagel without cream cheese too! Didn't see any mould so it should be OK to eat. Where's the coffee to go with it??? Hi Dray, long time no see!
