  1. Best way is to split the fairing, which takes 10 - 15 minutes when you know what you are doing. An easy task. If you have tiny fingers you may be able to get to it without splitting the fairing...
  2. We could have them waiting for you at Pioneer, Gary! You can use my place and tools...
  3. Larry, Carbon One should have one. What are you looking for, how it mounts, or what the filler looks like on the fender??
  4. Yup!! The usual sidestand switch failure is the bike dies when you put it in gear AND you let the clutch out. Even a few ohms rather than zero ohms causes this!! Mine read 8 ohms instead of zero. Your problem may be in the CMU needing soldering...
  5. OK we made it to De Land Florida today. Put on 618 miles on a single tank of gas!!! Averaged 35.2 mpg at an average speed of 72 mph. Yes, I am one of those kind of drivers that is usually 10% above the speed limit. I've slowed down since my younger days. There was one spot getting ahead of traffic we hit 95 and there was plenty more to go! I26 between Charlotte and I95 is a crazy highway! I95 is boring, almost perfectly flat and straight and trees on both sides. The wedding is tomorrow afternoon. We are checking out Wed morning and going over to my friend's house for the night. On the way I'm meeting up with a member of Trike talk forum. Thursday we are travelling from Davenport Fl to around Vogel where we plan on stopping in the AM for a while then continuing home...

Is the Pope Catholic?? Does a bear crap in the woods??
  7. Yup! Welcome aboard! Oil, there is s sight glass towards the bottom of the engine, oil level should be checked on the center stand cold and should be halfway up. Yes, the electronics are waterproof but there is a plastic cover for the cassette deck. Cassette deck can either be removed and an auxillary jack installed for MP3, etc or just buy a cheap cassette adapter for plugging in MP3, etc. Good luck, you just bought one of the best touring machines ever made that was light years ahead of everything else!
  8. B2 Dad mentiioned that area a couple of years ago! Check with him...
  9. Terrific!!! Glad to see Sexi made the video!
  10. Yup! Time to sharpen your soldering skills...
  11. Oh? A Skid In International?? Anyway, my comments on Becky's car. We averaged 62 mph down to here and got 34.7 mpg. We were averaging 37 until we started hitting the construction. I give the Altima overall a 9.7 out of 10, my main complaint being for me the seat does not fit me right, and I find the steering wheel small. For a 4 cylinder it is very peppy and with the exception of acceleration it performs as good as the V6 in my Malibu. Actually, for a 4 it accelerates quite well! I also would like the big screen for GPS etc up a little higher, but the voice commands from the BITB mute the radio when given, so it is not a real issue. The lane guides are a big plus especially the blind spot notification. I'll bet it prevents more than one accident! One minus being you can not program the GPS on the fly, the vehicle must be stopped, which is a safety design and does make sense. More this evening, time to get ready for the day...
  12. And the odessey continues! On our way to Florida after a day home. We are in Becky's new cage, a Nissan Altima. We are about an hour north of Roanoke. Morew details to dfollow...
  13. Ummm, I'm thinking your purchaser screwed something up!! When you turn the key off, it kills all of the electricity to the relays... Sorry, I'm on the road again and no access to the wiring diagram unless I download it to this netbook... OK I now have the wiring diagram from the 2nd gen read only file. Jonas, disconnect the 2 pin connector to the ignition switch and see if the problem is still there and get back to me. It's the connector with the red, and brown wire to it...
  14. Yup!! Bottom line, who has the b@lls to step up to the plate and commit??? Or is that be committed...
  15. We'll be there!!!
  16. Now if they would only make it a shaft drive...
  17. So sad! Thoughts and prayers for you and the family...
  18. Well, unless you need more than 9 acres, yes you can park an RV or 2, or 4 or more...
  19. Jeff, I recently installed the Barons risers on mine using the stock cables with no real problem. However, if you turn the handlebars hard right and twist the throttle, it sticks until you turn the handlebars. Also, the bars will hit the ignition cover doing a hard turn. In actual driving there was no issue though so far. I do have longer cables for when I put the flanders bars on with the risers. Geez, you were long gone before I had a chance to introduce myself at the IR...
  20. Dunlop E-3's, they wear like iron...

  25. Hmmmm, Mr. Freebird, what I see pictures of are a couple of First Generation bikes being worked on which one is 29 years old and the other around 25 years old. The Second Generation RSV is a MM which is 13 years old. The one on the trailer isn't being worked on at all. Now if your Hardley can even make it to 29 years I wonder how many times it will have been fixed!! I wonder if it will even make it to 13 years...
