NEVER use antifriction additives in your bike unless you want to ruin the clutch!!! You have a "wet" clutch and the STP will make it slip! To fix the hot start issue there are two things to do, replace the starter motor with a 4 brush from either later VMax or from a 2nd gen Venture. The swecond thing is to replace your battery cables with heavier cables. Member Dingy makes up sets using 4 gauge wire...

OK MK1 brakes are lacking for sure. There is a reason they improved them with the MK2! The caliper bolt spacing is different between the two so you have to replace your front forks, and before the new forks are installed it is a perfect time to replace your old worn out springs with better performing progressive springs. Now the MK1 uses a hydraulic anti dive solenoid as opposed to electric solenoids on the MK2. The hydraulic solenoids rob hydraulic power going to the brakes. As far as R1 vs R6 there is no difference. Going the R1 route, you want the Gold capped ones over the Blue ones as the pistons in the Gold ones are coated aluminum which won't rust or corrode! The 14mm vs 5/8 in master cylinder bore size is a 2nd gen issue, although I suppose you could strap them on the handlebars just as easy... The last upgrade would be to replace your rubber brake lines with Stainless Steel lines which do not expand as easy. The expansion of the rubber lines robs hydraulic power.

OK, one thing to mention, the phillips screws on our metric bikes are JIS, NOT SAE. Using the wrong type phillips damages the screws big time. Wasn't aware if you knew this so I thought I'd mention it...

1. There s NO way to sync the carbs by ear!! 2. The richness is set using either a CO analyzer on each exhaust (most accurate) or using a color tune spark plug.

Ahhh yes, the old ratings game! Never mind what they say the power out is, what matters is the power in,or how much it draws. The power out ca be expressed in sooo many ways that an honest 10 watts RMS can be 17 watts peak or 34 watts peak to peak, and depending on how much you ram into the input it can be even more watts. What you want is a power amp that accepts speaker level input to the amp for the easiest wiring install. That way we can just input the speaker wires into the amp and add new wires from the amp to the speakers. Otherwise we will have to butcher up the wiring to get the power amp installed at line level. Doing the install via speaker wires level will only amplify one pair of speakers though, to do all 4 will either require 2 amps or a X4 amp and that will effectively disable the fader function. Just how loud do you want the system to be???
