  1. Here is a picture that Eileen sent me of our yard this morning. Not too bad but it's coming.
  2. When did you do that? I thought I changed it. The old one is still OK for now though but I'm make sure I get it changed.
  3. I'm in the market for a truck also. In no hurry but keeping my eyes open. I love the Avalanche but have decided that I would feel better pulling the boat with a 3/4 ton. Keeping my eyes open for a 3/4 ton crew cab with short box and 4x4. Likely will go with Chevy again unless I find a great deal on something else. Won't buy a new one, probably an '07 or newer with less than 50,000 miles. It is not a daily driver so that would last us a long time.
  4. I was in touch with friend from the Philippines. She is in the UK now but all her family is still there. Was glad to find out that they live in the northern part of the country and were not affected to badly. Our prayers go out to all those who are affected.
  5. Folks, I have changed internet provider at home so any of you that have my email address as frontier.com will need to get rid of that one. It would be best to just use my venturerider.org email. Some of you have it already and if you don't have it and need it, it is listed in my profile right after my cellular telephone number.
  6. Try here. They make a nice backrest. http://www.utpr.com/
  7. Yep, that was the one they had.
  8. Well after this thread reminded me that I needed to pick some up, I stopped at a store in New York today and picked some up. I also noticed that they now have a version of "Apple Pie" for sale in the stores. I don't remember the brand but it was made by one of the new Tennessee Moonshine companies. It was in a mason jar. Started to pick up a jar of it to try out but decided I would just make my own.
  9. I'm actually going to make up another batch soon also. I will be in Indiana next week and plan to pick some up while there.
  10. Not sold in Ohio. I pick it up when I'm in Indiana or Kentucky.
  11. Hey, that's a VentureRider cup and a VentureRider flag.
  12. It was in the low 40s today but I did manage to get a short ride in. Only about 50 miles total but it sure felt good. Here is a picture I snapped when I stopped by Lake Erie.
  13. I'm sorry folks. I did know and actually added him to our memorials page right after I learned of it. You will see his picture there if you look. I simply forgot to change his user title. Will certainly make the other change now.
  14. The ice cream suggestion actually got me a little excited.
  15. HEY...I did NOT say that. Don't be getting me into trouble...I can do that all by myself.
  16. Bathroom works fine but I think there are some here who would overload it.
  17. Haven't set the date yet but never fear...it will continue. I just have to wait on a couple of annual company events to be scheduled first so that I make sure I can be here.
  18. Hey...would you be interested in painting my Bushtec to match the Road Glide? I am going to get it done sooner or later.
  19. It is time to head home I guess. Will load the boat up later this morning. Must be time, it is 23 here this morning. Will have to get the boat winterized tomorrow. Do hope there will be a couple of weekends warm enough to ride yet.
  20. On vacation for the next week. Right now I'm sitting in a cove on Lake Cumberland having a cup of coffee and checking email. Weather is cool but the sun is shining so it is all good. Towed the boat down and put in on Friday evening. Would I rather be riding? Probably. But Eileen LOVES being on the water so I can compromise from time to time.
  21. There was no lock-tight on those bolts.
  22. Well here is my opinion. Due to the cost of replacing plastic and other parts on these bikes, I've seen many of the totaled over what I thought was fairly minor damage. It sounds like you have tested it out well enough to know that there is no bent frame, forks, etc. That being said, It would not bother me at all to buy and ride the bike. You will NOT get a good resale on it but heck...look what you are paying for it to start with? The only real problem is that if and when you do decide to sell it, you may find your buyers market limited to only those who can afford to pay cash. I'm told that many financial institutions will not loan money on a vehicle with a salvage title.
  23. I guess I had better feel guilty too.
  24. Guys, only supporting members can view the profiles. That was decided a couple of years ago. Many members have personal information such as telephone numbers and etc. there and didn't want it open to possible spammers.
