  1. I'm sorry folks. I did know and actually added him to our memorials page right after I learned of it. You will see his picture there if you look. I simply forgot to change his user title. Will certainly make the other change now.
  2. The ice cream suggestion actually got me a little excited.
  3. HEY...I did NOT say that. Don't be getting me into trouble...I can do that all by myself.
  4. Bathroom works fine but I think there are some here who would overload it.
  5. Haven't set the date yet but never fear...it will continue. I just have to wait on a couple of annual company events to be scheduled first so that I make sure I can be here.
  6. Hey...would you be interested in painting my Bushtec to match the Road Glide? I am going to get it done sooner or later.
  7. It is time to head home I guess. Will load the boat up later this morning. Must be time, it is 23 here this morning. Will have to get the boat winterized tomorrow. Do hope there will be a couple of weekends warm enough to ride yet.
  8. On vacation for the next week. Right now I'm sitting in a cove on Lake Cumberland having a cup of coffee and checking email. Weather is cool but the sun is shining so it is all good. Towed the boat down and put in on Friday evening. Would I rather be riding? Probably. But Eileen LOVES being on the water so I can compromise from time to time.
  9. There was no lock-tight on those bolts.
  10. Well here is my opinion. Due to the cost of replacing plastic and other parts on these bikes, I've seen many of the totaled over what I thought was fairly minor damage. It sounds like you have tested it out well enough to know that there is no bent frame, forks, etc. That being said, It would not bother me at all to buy and ride the bike. You will NOT get a good resale on it but heck...look what you are paying for it to start with? The only real problem is that if and when you do decide to sell it, you may find your buyers market limited to only those who can afford to pay cash. I'm told that many financial institutions will not loan money on a vehicle with a salvage title.
  11. I guess I had better feel guilty too.
  12. Guys, only supporting members can view the profiles. That was decided a couple of years ago. Many members have personal information such as telephone numbers and etc. there and didn't want it open to possible spammers.
  13. I've got NOTHING to say about the FINE folks here. Last time I said something, they got me in trouble with Eileen. Now where is that picture I was presented.
  14. Didn't hurt at all...I'm wearing my suite of armor.
  15. No, the increase was actually more than $90.00 I guess. I was paying about 80.00 per year for liability on the Venture. If I cancelled it, my insurance was not going down by $80.00 but increasing by $90.00. I don't remember exactly what I'm paying but just as an example...say I was paying $360.00 for full coverage on the Road Glide and liability on the Venture. If I cancelled the Venture, the price was going up to $450.00 even though it was now JUST for the Road Glide.
  16. The Touring Hogs site is off to a VERY slow site. I knew it would be a steep hill to climb though because there are just so many well established Harley sites out there. We'll see. Now, as for the demerits and etc. There is actually a reputation system and strikes system built into the software here but I disabled it from the beginning and have never considered turning it on.
  17. Yea, it seems to be an Internet Explorer issue. I was able to duplicate it when using IE 10 but don't get it with Firefox or with Chrome.
  18. Thanks guys. I'll see what I can do.
  19. That is pretty much it. There are some water jacket plugs. They won't fall out but they are just a press fit and you won't want to run the bike with the fins off. Inspect them for leaks. It is a common place that people have found water leaks and it may be a good time to go ahead and replace them. Very simple job.
  20. Here is the issue that I am facing. I went online the other night to cancel the insurance on the RSV that I sold to Yammer. All I ever carried on it was liability. When I submitted the change, I got a warning message that if I deleted it then my insurance would go up by $90.00 per year due to losing my multi-bike discount. So now what to do? I can save $90.00 a year by insuring Dan's bike for him.
  21. Haven't seen that message. I can assure you that there is nothing to be concerned with however.
  22. I don't think you can make a blanket statement like that. It apparently depends upon the area where you live. I have my cars and motorcycles insured through Progressive and I HAVE shopped around. Nobody else has come close to even matching what I am paying for the same coverage. Also, when I needed them last year after hitting a deer in my Avalanche. The service was very good and fast.
  23. It must not apply to me. I don't remember forgetting anything.
  24. Congrats to Brenda. The Shadow is a very dependable bike. I had an 1100 Shadow Ace years ago and really enjoyed it.
