  3. That was good to listen to, I'm glad you shared.
  4. Don't know if we'll be in time for the ride, but last year we was early for dinner, so count me in.
  5. Well at this point I'm guessing you wore a long dress, you kept your mouth shut??? must have been a hard day!!!! you had lots of frills on the top, you combed your hair properly, you had a shower.............. must have been a sight to see,,, glad I wasn't invited.!.!.!. Really,???,, I would have taken the bike and immediately got lost on the way over,,,, you missed a perfect opportunity, what a shame.
  6. First off, welcome to the site, not everybody dares to enter here, but now that you have, you might find it hard to leave. The title had me a little confused, 'rear passenger' so I thought to take a look to see what somebody has done. I do feel your pain though and can understand the issue. A drivers backrest would be good for you and help her situation at the same time. The other thing that comes to mind would be arm rests for her to give her a somewhat of a closed in feeling.
  7. I agree with Carl, but I might also add that from my perspective as I read your post, that you should refresh the clutch fluid and make sure it's bled properly.
  8. I'll echo that!!
  9. Buy the 85, it would be your best investment, then slap the motor into yours if you want, or you can just enjoy the best of them all and ride it as it is.
  10. So I got us a question, and I expect replies. After all, this is your day to meet other VentureRiders and their friends so give me some input. This has to do with the organization of the day, so I need to know. The Ride: Should I scrap the ride and just have a get-together? Should I change the ride to go somewhere different? We done the same ride now I think for 4 years. Should the ride be shorter or longer? The Speech: Should I attempt to speech longer, or maybe a little shorter? Should there be more content in the speech? Should I speech before Saddlebum gets here? Should I Americanize my words? The Food: Who is going to cook this year? Parking: Should the Harleys park elsewhere? Should I get the 1st gens to park on the grass so that's it's softer for them? Just a couple of questions
  11. Well there is no need to guess, I'm a man of few words.
  12. Best get my licks in before Puc has a chance. Sweet lookin scoot,,, now if it were a 1st gen it would be even sweeter, but the looks of yours is pretty hard to beat, better than black even.

  14. Don't get yourself all in a snit folks,,,, remain calm,,, don't know who might be the 3 mouthketeers, but I'm not leaving for a while just yet and will be ready to keep things under control if deemed necessary. I have it all figured and know where a I can't find any help if a situation arises. I'm already on the lookout, and doing my research, at this point I have identified the leader, and will find the other fore in quick order. So remain clammed up I'm on it!!!!
  15. I hear it's really tough to cross the border lately, but Marca would love to spend a week on that boat. So now it's a toss up. Get her to ride to Oberlin with the border crossing included and spend a week on the boat,,, or stay put and enjoy life. OOOOOOO such decisions!!! And can I put up with Eck for that long. Guess I'd have to bring my own beef as well,,, and beer,,,, nah, don't think so Don, I like my own bed too much! I did think about it though.
  16. Guess the boss must be on his way,,,, hey,,, the day has started and he can't wait. Maybe those WW won't be so white after the first ride eh? Congrats Boss and welcome home.
  17. Wow, that's not a nice thing to deal with, as we well know. You'll have to make a lot of decisions in the near future, just don't let the insurance push you around. Take a bit of time to gather yourselves together, get a place that you can call home for a bit, and then sit down with all involved and consider your future. It's going to be a while, so prepare yourselves for that as well, and it's always good to depend on the guidance of the Great Shepherd,,, He knows everything. Our prayers will support you.
  18. Maybe if you do a search on the engine model # it may give you model numbers of the units it's installed on.?.?
  19. Ask a mod,, all done
  20. Wouldn't that be oogle??
  21. So are you trying to tell us that you've been out riding again,,, you know you should put fresh fuel in it before you come home though eh?
  22. Thanks everybody for your comments, prayers and well wishes and for coming out to share this time of celebration with us. It shows that you all care and that makes us family. We had a great time,,, ya, Mom was getting on in age, and I was corrected, she was 87, and so lived a full life and was satisfied with the time that her Lord allowed her to be here with us to guide and direct us. We cried a little, sang some songs, prayed together, but mostly shared time of the past and caught up on the goings on in the separate lives of each other. There were cousins there we hadn't seen in years,,, wow, they're getting older as well, and some of them even have grand-kids now!!! how time moves on!!! All in all, we had a wonderful 4 days, a time of reflections, business, deadlines, organizing, decisions, phone calls, emails, but mostly,,, a great family reunion. I know it is not always this way, that we can celebrate the passing of a loved one, sometimes the person is much younger and leaves a much bigger hole to deal with, a father or mother of a young family for example, but this was not the case this time,,, quite a blessings for us. We now carry on with out her, but take a lesson from the days spent. Our time will come, so will we be ready like she was? Blessings to all of you!
  23. Send us a picture of the machine
  24. That's the one.!
  25. Fire up the blacked out engine, send some sound out the blacked out pipes, and get behind the café racer windscreen and go. Kind of says it all I think.
