  1. Yup, this sounds exactly like the controller head connection in the front faring. Cleaning and dielectric grease should fix this right up.
  2. What, exactly, about left turns scares you? Leaning too far? Throttle hand extended and feel unable to control the throttle? As others suggest, large parking lot practice.
  3. have you tried tightening the Schrader valve to see if it's just loose? Or maybe it's just got some dirt or fuzz in it. Take it out, clean it, reinstall and see if that takes care of the problem.
  4. Has that one got an actual hard drive or is it flash memory?
  5. Should be able to take the padding out. I would think that the padding helps substantially and wouldn't want to test it without it. To me, any advantage over the hard road is a good thing. Could see how easily it comes out and see if you want to take it out to store it separately and then put it back when needed, or if it's too much of a hassle to do that.
  6. They've got a bolt head on them when new. When they reach a certain torque, the top just snaps off.
  7. Oh, my... Bobble head Jesus? Now that just seems wrong!! What won't they bobble head these days? :rotf: Hmmmm, on the other hand, may be better to take a bobble head Jesus on the bike instead of putting a gremlin bell on there. Because, maybe, it will give other drivers a chuckle and brighten their day a little. Besides, who can rear end you when they think they'll might kill a cute, fluffy little animal.
  8. Oooops, sorry, didn't see that you were "up that way". Here's one for you: http://www.epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap/VisitedProvinces.html

  10. You'll need to click on "UserCP" to the left. Then, in the box marked "Settings and Options" click on the line marked "edit signature". Then, anything you type in that box will appear on each of your posts. To upload the pictures scroll down to the "signature picture" box below the text box and upload the maps into your signature. Save your signature and you should be good to go.
  11. Unless you split the fairing and put a splitter, inline, into the existing AUX connector and run a second cable for the GPS unit. Then you can plug your GPS into the extra cable and still have input in the aux connector by the cassette deck. Like this: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3905
  12. I've seen them kinda alarms before. Thing is, don't they make your bike shake as badly as a Harley? :rotf:
  13. I'm in.
  14. First gens use the PL259.
  15. Might add that the 550 has text to speech which, I believe the 450 does not have.
  16. Naw, you just got a left handed bike!!
  17. Is it possible that the whole carb assembly was put on 180º out? Don't know if this is possible but just a thought.
  18. The reason I do the low wave is because it keeps your hand inside the stream of air so your arm doesn't get, violently, jerked out of the socket.

    Sold!

Great, glad you got her sold. I was soooo thinking about that one but think the wife would kill me if I did. I know what you mean sarge. If they made a blue and silver I'd be sunk!! Even the Sand and Raspberry is growning on me. :rotf:
  20. How about a clutch hand salute. Just a casual thing not the elbow at 45º thing or anything.
  21. Heck, I already do it this way all the time. Shoot, very short learning curve for me. Thing is, I've seen Harley riders do this too.

Okay, take your word for it.

    Covers

Okay, I want to know why, in heavens name, any company would make a cover black. I'd think that that would tend to make the bike just that much hotter out in the sun. Someone did a test and found that black (dark) cars get, like, 10º hotter in the sun than light ones do. I'd think the same would hold true for a cover.

    Covers

You guys that got covers at Wal-Mart. What color are they, what brand and where did you find them in the store? There's a very small motorcycle section at our Wal-Mart so I'm hoping that they even have this stuff.
