  1. What brewery is doing a 90% IPA?
  2. Welcome, my Black Cherry Brother!(I have the same ride, minus the custom speakers and accents.) I get more compliments on my "Custom Paint" than I ever got with truly custom paint!
  3. XXL from Nelson Rigg. The $29.00 covers from Walmart are actually very good dust covers and decent weather covers for a couple seasons.
  4. Like Marcarl said, anything secure/heavy enough to keep the front end down while you work on the rear. I think I used a bucket of scrap metal last time I did this.
  5. Help from a friend. Getting it up on a 2x4 is going to be quite challenging by yourself. You really don't need the extra height. If you are going to use my suggested method, make sure you use a ratchet strap to secure the center stand in the down/forward position. I'd use a 2x6 at least. You don't want any chance of knocking it off when rocking the front end down. .
  6. Kris and I would do our best to make it.
  7. Just stick a thumb in it! Ordered a couple shirts. It truly is a miracle he survived this.
  8. I haven't heard from BlueBeard since this post.
  9. Welcome Back Steve!
  10. Thanks for the link Heimdog! There are several clubs within a few miles of the new house. I'll contact them when I take posession next week.
  11. I haven't had to replace the throttle cables on CC equiped model, but the left side fairings have to come off to replace the throttle cables on the standard model, so it's a safe bet they will have to come off for you as well. Possibly the right side too.
  12. MK1 or MK2? The MK1 makes short work of removing the rear tire compared to the MK2. I wouldn't say either is dificult but there is a good bit of prep work to get to actually removing the wheel. Follow the service manual and you will have no problems. There are some short cuts that work, but I would advise going by the book the first time around. One good short cut, if you pay close attention and do it safely, allows you to remove both wheels from the centerstand with no lift. Set up on the center stand, then use a ratchet strap from the center stand to the front frame to secure the center stand in the forward position. use a small bottle jack under the front cross member to lift the front end and remove the front wheel by the book. Let the bottle jack down, pull the front end down and secure it with a tied down strap. Remove rear wheel by the book. It's critical to do this on a solid, flat surface free of debris. Do not attempt this method on grass or a gravel driveway.
  13. Not worried about making any money on these. I just hate scraping something that could be useful.
  14. Here are some pictures of the antenna masts.
  15. I'll post up some pictures as soon as I can. Probaly a couple weeks. Well, there is a gargae, but it's small and in bad shape. I plan on tearing it down and building a bigger shop in a few years. We bought the place for the 1890's home and the landscaping. The back yard is a beautiful flower garden with many expensive trees and has a park like layout. The only CBs I own are part of my Ventures!
  16. Hey all! We are closing on a new(Old) house next week. The previous owner is a Ham Operator and he left a couple antenna masts and antennas behind. Unfortunately, he is suffering from dimensia and is no longer an active radio man. Is there any call for this kind of thing? Are there any net forums where I might find someone who could use them? I really don't want to scrap them but I have no use whatsoever for them.
  17. The 30Amp main fuse is located behind the left rear floor board black plastic panel. It's mounted on/with the starter solenoid.
  18. You left the Flux Capacitor on the bench! Never having replaced the stator in one of our majestic beasts, I have no idea what the Ooops is!
  19. Marlin Model 336, 30-30. It's not like I just decided to get one and it was everything I wanted it to be. I literally grew into this rifle. It's the first large bore stick I ever shot. It's the first rifle I ever took a white tail with. It was my Grail from the beginning of my shooting life. I'd give it up in an instant to get the man back who bequeathed it to me.
  20. I had no idea NC was a communist block country! All you Tar Heals need to step up and nip that stuff in the bud!
  21. At least for me, the spin on adapter is less about saving money and more about convenience. The filters available from any auto parts store and there is no chance of pinching the O-Ring gasket or stripping the bolt.
  22. When(IF) you find a competent, honest motorcycle mechanic buy him(her) a bottle of their favorite liquid refreshment, remember them at Christmas and keep in close contact with them for life. You've heard of the proverbial hen's tooth, right? It's pretty much guaranteed that the carb "rebuild" that was paid for consisted of hosing the carbs down with a can of carb cleaner and MAYBE new bowl gaskets. I'm surprised they actually removed the carbs from the intake boots, TBH. My local Yamaha shop has been extremely helpful and their parts man is a huge Venture fan and a wealth of information. I would never in a million years let their mechanics touch any of my bikes.
  23. Personally, I have never found a TV with what I would consider "Good Sound" onboard. Even a cheaper sound bar is going to be an improvement on the built in speakers of most of the newer smart TVs. I'm sure some have acceptable audio components, but none that I have seen to date. TBH, 42" is small for a 13' x 13' room, IMHO. Especially considering the prices of TVs these days.
  24. Those risers are packe pretty full of wiring. There might be room for a 1/4" locking nut. Maybe.
