Dan when the mechanic first fired up my 84 after 13 years the black smoke was so thick hard to see. I'm sure lots of moisture in motor as well. I would get it road ready and blow the carbon out and see. I got an 89 engine over here with only 15K needing something to do.

Looks like WV is clarifying the castle law. I might get a little shooting practice. Posted on 02/29/2008 8:46:40 AM PST by kiriath_jearim CHARLESTON — Quicker than a marksman could fire and reload, the House of Delegates agreed Thursday that a man’s home is his castle and it’s all right to gun down any intruder skulking about, in or out of the premises. “Your home is your castle,” Sen. Shirley Love, D-Fayette exulted upon learning the House Judiciary Committee sent his 2-year-old bill out, absent any effort to either amend or debate it. Within an hour, the full House shipped the bill on to Gov. Joe Manchin, with the only opposition vote cast by Delegate John Doyle, D-Jefferson. “When you think about it, in this day and time, your home is even more so your castle. That old adage that the wind can come in and not the king is true. It really means something when you stop and think about it.” Love began the push last year to upgrade West Virginia’s self-defense law with the backing of the National Rifle Association. In mind was some protection in law that a homeowner could protect hearth and home and use deadly force, if needed, if he felt he and his family were imperiled by invaders. Love’s bill would guarantee that a homeowner using such force could use the fear of potential harm as a “full and complete defense” if the intruder filed a lawsuit over his wounds or his survivors resorted to litigation. This bill goes an extra step in allowing a property owner to use force outside the home if he feels a prowler is about to commit a felony, such as making off with an expensive yard implement, auto or other possession. “We worked very hard with the chairs of both committees to craft a bill that we feel is very solid and very structured,” said Jordan Austin, state liaison for the NRA. “It will guarantee an individual’s right to self-defense inside the home and outside the home.” A stronger version offered by Sen. John Unger, D-Berkeley, would have blocked any injured prowler from even filing a lawsuit against a homeowner, but Austin said the Love bill would suit West Virginia’s needs. An NRA movement began a few years ago to accord homeowners more protection began with Florida and now has expanded to 21 states with West Virginia now on board. Austin wasn’t surprised to see the Love bill ease through the House panel without amendments or opposition votes. “This has been the will of the people for quite a long time,” he said. “It has attracted lots of support from individuals in the state.” West Virginia has never had a “duty to retreat” as some states do as a means of preventing a showdown with an intruder, “but we’re just making clear there is no duty to retreat,” Austin said. Love said he has been overwhelmed with calls and e-mails from across the state expressing support. “I think this gives homeowners a little more feeling of security that they can protect themselves, their families and their property without having the fear of being prosecuted by ones who are the intruders on their personal premises,” he added.

I had the camera up for about two weeks. No pictures and the batteries went dead. It was cold back then about 10 degrees at night. There may be something going on with the camera I'll try it again.Where can I get a bear trap?

That last wave of B&E's last month. I think some arrest were made and all has been quite for 4-6 weeks.I hoped it was over for a while. Last weekend a neighbor got took for over 10K in valuables at his camp. They probably drove past mine to get to his there on the same road. Now I'm back on patrol checking my place.People love to get away for a weekend in the country but you can't have anything anymore. If I build a garage down there I bet it will have no windows and a door 12" thick. Did I mention I hate a thief.Got to be punks looking for something to steal and sell for drug money.

Get well soon. You and your family are in our prayers.

I might build a new garage this summer. It would be down at the new place. The question is how many first gens should it hold? 2,3 or more? Got to squeeze a trike in to.:whistling:

When your young money is more important then time. When your older time is more important then money. I would give it all up and live the simple free life if it wasn't for that health care issue. I currently take no medications neither does my wife but you never know what you may need later. No help from the kids. These days kids turn 40 and still can't make it on there own.

I'm all for early retirement but my bank account says I'm 1 million short. Back to work while all the neighbors set on there porch and get a check in the mail at taxpayers expense.

It's for electronics. I took the fcc test 30 years ago but now our Motorola authorization is requiring a new ETA certificate. Some of that crap I forgot 30 years ago. You only retain what you use daily. Electronics is a very broad subject matter.

Every thing is on hold. I'm not going to do anything until I get around tuit. Every hear that expression? I thought spring was here but every weekend it's more of that white partly cloudy. I have so many jobs backed up it's not funny. I got 19 locust post in the ground with 30 more to go. I should of had that job done by now but it's either rain or snow on the weekends. Seems like nice pretty days through the week and got to go work. We went yesterday in the snow and bought our electric entrance stuff for temp power at the camp over $500. That job is after the fire pit and the fence job. My 86 is still waiting to be parted out but the mud is so deep no way to get it on the center stand much less decent weather to start. Momamo has rose bushes and apple trees waiting in line. I hope retirement is not like this. I bet it would rain or snow 7 days a week. This week the boss said we was up for recertification so spending spare time study for an exam the end of the month. I just put my rocky gortex boots on going down to the camp to walk around and dream of better weather. Sorry guys looking at the clock every 30 minutes is getting old.I drunk a pot of coffee this morning 2:00 am studying for that exam. When this weather does break and I get caught up me and the 84 have some time coming.

I'm still covered up with work. You got another month to get it right. 3 days of snow coming. The Red Baron needs a little tlc before she goes out.

Sunday was a nice day so I worked on the fencing project. I need to finish that this month. Time to start parting out the 86 but no room in the shed. I need to pull it outside for elbow room to work. Calling for rain/snow three days this week just waiting for the mud to dry up before starting.Bikes are starting to rumble around here but mine are still parked. I guess I should start them it's been a while but got to many irons in the fire right now.

Only one way to settle this. Schedule a weekend rib Inn. You guys cook your best recipe and the rest of will eat,eat ,eat and pick a winner. We need a DQ close by the event.:rotf:

We don't need this crap but the hospitals and schools are full of it. Grandkids are down with it and our Son came down with it this morning. Doctors are not giving much medication saying it needs to run it's course. Some of my neighbors have been bed fast for six days. Ramona and I are doing fine but the deck is stacked against us.

:rotf::rotf: Rick I paid for 99.9 % of that scoot. @#!^ if she wasn't gonna paint it PINK she might get another .1% out of me. Besides I'm enjoying this. Ladies get a better price for parts. In her eyes it's still 50/50.:rotf: -
Looks like some people I know just fixing there favorite drink, injection, snort, etc. One guy likes his morphine straight.Sad neighborhood.
