1. hi folks since i bought my motor tike rsv a couple of weeks ago. i was wondering if anyone else had this trike kit or am i the only one ? i've looked at the hannigan and tri-wing kits. these seam to be the most popular with the rsv bunch. reguards don c.
2. Okay there you of the three wheel world. I'm going to get the 08 RSV triked real soon and the nearest Hannigan installers are 'Hual's in Cantonment Fl. and G.N. Gonzales in Baton Rogue. Anyone had any dealings with either of them??? Good/Bad/Great??? 'preciate any input.
3. Thinking about getting a trailer to haul the '07 RSV on longer trips...in the next couple of years I plan to have it triked it out (the bike...not the trailer) with the Hannigan kit. I, therefore want to get a trailer for now...and after it makes the change to trike. I would appreciate knowing the overall length and width of the Hannigan that some of you have done. Thanks in advance for any info.
4. I have heard from the triwing trikers about their gas mileage. My 07 hannigan trike is gettig around 30 miles to the gallon riding 60 mph. Some say I should be getting better.I had the carbs syn at a dealer about two months ago.The bike has just got 1400 miles on it.I want to know what you guys think.
5. Not sure why Hannigan does not have the Dealers or Hannigan them self's add this when doing the Rake Install . I have found that there is no way to adjust my headlight to to proper angle after the the rake has been added. After the rake kit is installed (my) headlight wants to shoot up into the sky. I finely got around to doing this as one of my winter projects this year. Here is my fix. The Picture below are standing in front of the bike, So I will refer the left and right in that manner. Picture (1) is both left and right NOTE: You will also need longer bolts to do this project. those should be laying around in a bag of nuts and bolts you got back from them removing all your other stuff. Picture (2) is left - with a spacer that is 2.25 thick and a washer of .065 Picture (3) is right - - with a spacer that is 3.00 thick and a washer of .065 I did this mod a while back but never got around to testing it, I did this AM while it was still dark outside with the VRtech Headlight Adjustment write-up. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1064 You will still be able to use the knob to fine tune your adjustments as well. My Findings where it was pretty much dead on, I also did my settings with the light on low beam to start with. then tested it with the high beam on. NOTE:: you will also have to re-adjust your running lights as well if you already have them installed. I think if you get close to my sizes it will still work or get you close. Any Questions feel free to email me. Jeff
6. Finally got the Hannigan LT Sidecar installed. Already done a couple of rides with a pillion and sidecar passenger. I will probably get the raked Triple Tree's installed. Other than the arm strong steering I am really pleased with the set up:big-grin-emoticon:
7. I hope the pics of my trike come thru.07 rsv with hannigan kit 380 miles
8. Not sure if any of you Hannigan owners have seen or heard that Hannigan now has custom trike covers for the converted RSV. They run $118.00 with tax and shipping. I ordered one today and they happened to have one in stock, normally there is a 3 week wait on them as they are a custom item. for all there kits there only doing them for the RSV at this time. Harley and Honda have to wait ~S~.. I will post a picture if anybody is interested later after I receive the cover. Jeff
9. This is my first post,so be patient.I got offered a deal I don't think i can turndown.I can get an 07 RSV hannigan trike for $15k, it has low miles. What do you think.
10. Any one else get invite to Hannigan Happening 35th Anniversary June 18-19 2010
11. I am going to purchase a trike and trying to decide between the Hannigan or Motor Trike. Please give me opinions. I dont know which sales person to believe.
12. Hannigan is having a $1000.00 Discount Off there Trike Kits Until Feb 1st **HURRY* I was one year ago today when I ordered my kit, http://www.hannigantrikes.com/
13. http://www.hannigantrikes.com/content/kawasakitrike.html They Just won't give up will they? *LOL* good for them!
14. Has anyone seen or have any info on the New Hannigan trike kit???? Looks like a nice kit.... http://www.hannigantrikes.com/content/yamahatrike.html
15. We picked up my trike from Hannigan on the 26th but didn't get home until late saturday. Today was the first chance to get it out and shake it down. I think I am really going to like it. Thanks to all for the advice when I was considering doing this. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v325/gunnybutch/P1010001-2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v325/gunnybutch/P1010002-2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v325/gunnybutch/P1010003-2.jpg
16. My Hannigan Kit came in last night to my Dealer. I was not going to show you guys until it was done. But I had to... One of the reason's I went there today is that I had to get my second saddle bag that they had for along time for the MM two tone color match. In the trunk is my RAKE KIT and Chrome Fender Tips for the rear. My matching trunk light bar, I looked under it. forgot to take pics *lol* man it is a work of art the suspension and brakes and stuff. I was racking it around in my brain the whole time if I wanted it one color or have it match my two/tone MM colors... So the end result is that I left it up to Hannigan. My Bike should be converted 27th or so.. should be a nice time to ride in Iowa by then. seems like this has taken FOREVER! I will post pictures of the final complete trike when finished. 17. Well it is official today, My Hannigan Conversion Kit Was ordered today at my dealership. (I think One of the First 2K Millennium Color trikes they will be painting) Should be installed sometime March and I should be able to ride by the end of March. This is also my Birthday Present from my Wife *BWG* (cost approx $13,200) great wife eh? . I will be removing ALL of the rear of the bike from the bottom of the trunk and the only thing left under the trunk will be the drive shaft. ALL will be sold on eBay or here. I will also have Don's Great Center Stand (SOLD) The other thing I will have ready pretty soon is Venture Dads Complete Hitch (SOLD) System witch has work very well also. (having a new one added to the trike) has to be a different design , by hannigan. The rest that will be removed-- Rear Tire, each side of rear tire - A-Arm stuff? Lower light bar under trunk (SOLD),------ Both Hard Saddle Bags (SOLD) , --------Saddle bag Guards (SOLD), -----------Fender, Rear Tail light, Rear Shock (SOLD) and Blinkers . I am sure some of you will figure out what else I don't need anymore... oh maybe even the Kick Stand.. ummm. Make sure you spread the word that the Saddle bags are the Millennium Color's very hard to find. or to try and have one's painted to match. (one saddle bag is going to be sent for color match and come back) Anyways , I am very EXCITED !! And all this should be done by the time all this damn snow melts! I am also snowed to the point that I could not bring my bike there. my Dealer at no charge 70 miles away is coming to pick my bike up with his bike truck rig. no charge. P.S. >> I did hear from one other trikster that his (WHINE) went away when he added his kit. (not hannigan) Now wouldn't that be something. I wont believe it until it happens to me *lol* But you see I still have this bike no matter what! I love it. (medical reasons for triking) and other issue's. Jeff
18. I finally took the leap and ordered a Hannigan kit. I drop the bike off at the factory in Murray the week before Christmas and pick it up the day after Christmas.
19. Does anyone have the Hannigan conversion? I'm thinking about having one put on my 02 soon and was looking for comments about the Hannigan or about trikes in general. I was wondering about the steering, will the handlebars return to the neutral position or do you have to pull them back to center?
