ok, folks boo chewing me out was bad enough, but when cindy chews me out, i listen. we will make the final dinner wednesday night. between boo's avatar and cindy's pm i got the message. as far as a schedule goes the vendors are welcome to be there the duration. we may have a small maintenance day, and maybe some tech talk , but mainly we just want you folks to do things when you feel like it. other than the main meal the rest of the time will be lots of riding and shooting the bull. that way no one will really miss anything if they are not there from the start to the end of the meet. the only date that is a sure thing you will miss is the final meal and drawings in the meeting hall. for those who have never been to ar. there is more riding than one can imagine. no scheduled rides are planned except for the eureka springs ride for the gals. to many bikes for scheduled rides. we will have lots of ride info available, so people can go off on their own or in small groups. this is the safest way to do the rides. the main meal, and drawings will be in the main hall on wed. night, aug. 5th. bill:2133:

we are still working on the events. the big meal will be thursday night the last night of the meet. since we are expecting a large turnout. we are not going to have any scheduled rides. every one will be on there own to group up and go on rides. coles grampa will have ride info and maps available to help people get rides together. i plan on leading a ride to eureka springs one day for the ladies to shop. we are working on games. the schedule will mostly be random rides and a whole lot of commeraderie, bike talk and just meeting with old friends and making new ones. we are going to try to keep things simple so people can relax and enjoy the time there and not worry about having to be in a given place at a certain time. the hub has a great restaurant and good food. we are working on having a breakfast buffet every morning of the meet that will be pay as you eat. same with the other meals. or you can ride into nearby harrison and eat. it is a dry county but we are going to take care of that. we should have beer available at the hub. now that my st. charles meet is behind me, i will be giving the 09 rally my all. if anyone has any questions just post them and me or one of my committee will answer as best we can. these meets are alot of work to get together so bear with us on it. we will get the latest info out as we get more of the planning done. bill

for those that are not ready to register yet, how about checking in the 2009 rally attendence poll and let us know your status on there. this would greatly help us in getting our count. could one of the moderators, or don move that to a sticky to make it easy to find. the poll is listed under venturerider polls. we could also use a sticky on the children that are coming poll so we can figure the childrens menu, and gunboat will know how many to expect for the games. bill

just an up date on the rally and a plea to get registered. getting ready to get in to high gear and finalize all the rally events. a bunch of us are going to meet at the hub memorial day weekend for brunch or lunch and you are all welcome to join us. we should be there around 11 am on sat. the 23rd of may. it will be a fun ride and you can check out the site for the 09 rally. we need all that are planning to attend the rally, to register as soon as possible, so cindy can order the t- shirts, and make the name buttons. i also need to tell randall how many will be attending so he can figure food for the catered last meal and breakfast and dinner throughout the week. the last meal which will be fried chicken and prime rib is included in the registration. the rest is on you. there will also be a childrens menu. i have a great committee that is working hard to make this a successful meet. if your not sure if your comming thats fine. if you are sure help us out and get registered as soon as possible. thanks. bill

got to add to the fork deal. teaspoons are not acceptable. you can't get no food on them. i use a one off personally designed tablespoon. that is why i am going to be fined at the st. jude weigh in at maintenance day. bill ps. cindy, linda said thanks to you and all the other gals that helped her at the meet.

i actually agree with goose on this one. i don't think there is a better tire out there than the venom x. could be your not riding hard enough to see the real advantage in the twisties. if you have the narrow front tire it is a little more sensitive to input on the straightaway, but if you give it time you will get the feel. the 150 is like pushing a truck through the curves. the 130 venom makes it much more nimble at all speeds. don't ditch them venoms yet. bill:2133:

boo, i was going to come but i got the hankerin to build a high powered cushman scooter. i am going to springfield, mo. with my buddy to see it i can pick up a rolling chassis at a cushman swap meet. i found a guy that has a couple and want to check them out. roadkill will be there at litchfield. you all have a great time and linda said to tell jane hello and she would like to see her at the international rally to go shopping in eureka springs. bill
