  1. That is a much better trailer than the Lowe's 5 x8 with the mesh floor. For the same kind of money the trailers sold by TSC are better built. My Lowe's trailer with the mesh floor REQUIRED a plywood floor and it still flexes a bunch.
  2. Had our little ghetto cruiser out yesteday. Forgot how much fun it CAN be to be on the water. The nice thing about a 15 foot aluminum boat and a 50 horse outboard? Operational costs are minimal.
  3. "And then he,,,are you really sure you want to hear the rest of this? From here on out it gets pretty peculiar."
  4. Ladies, the Dollar stores have those blue plastic 3 footers. Easy for him to clean leaving time for,,,,,other endeavors. Just trying to help ya out.
  5. This is all my Canadian (and northern US) friends ....even if the USA folks don't get the joke about Fahrenheit feeling warmer.! A few of us live close enough. I have been told I have a "Canadian accent". (WTH is that?) I'll take 21 degrees any day. Your way that is. But this winter is going to be easier to take. Found a 99 Arctic Cat ZL 600 EFI with just 1800 original 2 owner miles. MINT, with reverse. Will help to take the boring out of winter.
  6. I didn't actually laugh, grinned a little after I did the owie thing a bit. My main thought is that his slingshot has more power than I thought it would. I mean, he buried that ball in the unintended target. It actually has hunting / self defense possibilities. Oh yeah, I feel sorry for the dumb@$$
  7. Um, and he did it inside,,,,, Even I'm smarter than that.
  8. The good news is maybe they ARE going to update. Please make it run and handle like a 1 st Gen and look like a 2 nd gen. With a fixed fairing. And give it a VMax power plant. And a STEREO. Amp and pre amp/ tuner plus speakers. I'll supply the thumb drives. Please don't reinvent the wheel here. Cruise. air ride. stereo, ABS as a low cost option. ( I hate it) I have to sacrifice to pay for a new ride. Make me want to.
  9. Hopefully when Morphy's law catches up with them they don't hurt anyone else.
  10. http://bmwmoa.org/RideTour/Camping/Places/MotorcycleOnlyCampgrounds.aspx Found this on a white water paddling site actually.
  11. They would have some very similar feeling and response. I've never had a Spyder on the road, have ridden one for a few minutes in a parking lot. There is a mannerism that can compare to snowmobile and (or) wheelers. I have spent a lot of years on wheelers and sleds. With 2 skis in front and 1 center drive apparatus in the back there s some similarity to a sled. And I kinda like the "lift the inside ski, slip the back end a bit" turning style of a sled. Would have to be fun on tires as well. But, I have yet to grow up in any real fashion. To be honest, I am dying to take a motorcycle and a 4 wheeler to make a road legal ATV. 4 stroke, 4 cylinder, D.O.T. tired, 4 wheeler. With a street bike center section for the VIN. All the legit motorcycle inspection items should get it on the road.
  12. I ended up roasting 3 of 4 Polk DB 401's by asking them to try to produce more bottom end than they could. They died trying. To install my 5 1/2" Alpines I removed the stock stereo, CB, CLASS controller, and what not from my fairing. Installing the lager speakers was a major improvement. When it comes to bottom end punch size matters. Which is why this winter the bike is getting a set of 6 x 9 Infinity Marine 2 ways. I may go with just those 2 and put the CLASS controller up in the stock right side speaker location. (or remove the compressor altogether and install a couple air fittings)
  13. I'm a believer in Can Am products. Have been since about 1970. (when I got my first Ski Doo !2/3 Olympique) My last ATV was an Outlander 400 that I did my best to destroy for 6500 miles. I beat it with no mercy day after day and it never failed me. I assume that a Spyder would take some time getting used to. After all it is totally different than anything we are used to operating. But the principle of the thing is sound. And the same folks that give us the REV chassis, ETEC, the first electronic reverse, and Rotax engines build it. If I ever get to the point I can't ride 2 wheels, my trike will have 2 wheels in front. It just make more sense that way. However, if they get any uglier, wow, they are going to have to come with whiskey and a pork chop.
  14. And also for Yamaha. Real nice on their part. (which is unusual in this day ad age)
  15. Sorry bud, but no. We have to buy our own toys.
  16. Freebird, I'm not sure how to break this to ya bud. Going forward, anytime one of us goes off the purchasing deep end we get to point to you and say, "See at least I'm not like Freebird is." Just another of the many benefits of membership.
  17. If you think the pictures are hard to look at, imagine my sick stomach when I rode by and saw it in the median. At that time I didn't know it was "one of us". Just new it was a Venture. And that was kind of hard to tell.
  18. One of the guys at WNY rally , he was tall, slim, dark hair, his wife or girlfriend had been ill and could not com. (remember all that and he rode a Frankenstein 1st Gen but can't remember his name) was some sort of radio and antennae tech was talking about free "over air" satellite. Buy and install your own equipment and intercept satellite signal. Haven't looked into it yet. Probably bail on pay TV VERY soon. Sick of the cost and quality (lack thereof) of them all.
  19. Hey Condor, don't feel to bad. It's gotten to the point that living in NY state is no better. At least you can ride year round.
  20. I have always thought so. Battery is "fresh" till you add the electrolyte that way. Fully charge with a trickle charger before you use it and you have a long lasting battery.
  21. The take off,,,ya talk about a "leap of faith". Good thing he has a plane, for one reason or another walking has to be tough .
  22. It dawns on me that I have come full circle. My first bike was a Yamaha. An this is the third one since then.
