  1. Ready for a great time!
  2. You were lucky... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRi-mt95TzU]Car Plows Into Motorcycle On Dash Cam - YouTube[/ame]
  3. Larry (Carbon_One) built us a beautiful carrier for our Hannigan trike. Ready for some long hauls now without towing our trailer. Very cool! Thanks Larry!
  4. Okay, talk with you at Galena. Thanks!
  5. Ride looks great. Would like to join you. My schedule is flexible, but I would like to hang at the lodge Sunday evening when folks arrive and ride signups occur. I could even arrive earlier or leave later. Whatever works. Just let me know. Thanks!
  6. Mike, I'm also interested in visiting these states.
  7. Congrats Chuck! Grandbabies are a true blessing.
  8. We continued to work, putting the max into our retirement accounts until we were SS eligible. Then, I took the first buyout offered. Life is good, but those last few years were tough.
  9. Happy riding! See you soon!
  10. Must be tire construction...
  11. Yes, I use 42 psi. Some folks say use 50 psi in Venom rear tire, but I'm afraid to make our front tire that hard. Cupping comes from low inflation. Since I see no cupping, I'm staying with 42 psi.
  12. 11,000 miles on our Avon Venom rear tire reverse mounted. Tire looks like new, no cupping or cracking. Rode 85 mph a few times and in torrential downpours on interstates. Rode twisties in Ozarks and Great Smoky Mountains. Tire is solid! Michelin Commander II has same basic tread pattern. Will try Commander II next time because I recall it is cheaper.
  13. Glad you had fun in spite of the rain. We made tree attempts before we got good weather on the Dragon. We also managed to get to the Cherohala between rain showers.
  14. Have a great trip! We were there last week and had lots of fun.
  15. Rick, Jeannette has changed her mind about coming along. I will be there solo. Sent you PM. Thanks!
  16. Nice job Jeff! Anxious to hear how you like it.
  17. Congrats! That's low for a '99. Safe riding...
  18. Jay, We met Bob and Becky this week, and we looked at their steering lock mechanism. Bob demonstarted how his locked, and I saw the holes in the tree. Took a look at our trike today, and it is the same. Can lock handlebars in either direction. Wonder why our dealer did not know that? Anyway, mystery solved. Thanks everyone!
  19. Slime - Portable 12 Volt Tire Inflator with Built-in Gauge and Light http://walmart.ugc.bazaarvoice.com/1336/3_6/5/rating.png 3.6 out of 5 Online $16.88 http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_query=tire+inflator&ic=16_0&Find=Find&search_constraint=91083
  20. Got cheap tire inflator with light at Wallmart, which I attach to our battery tender harness. Use it often to top off our trike tires, not just for emergencies. It also works fine on Jeannette's car. Also carry tire plugs and Slime. That is a nasty piece of metal!
  21. Problem I had locating holes for trunk rack was that rulers are straight and trunk is curved. Put tape on trunk to mark hole locations and used string to check spacing in all directions, including diagonally, to make sure rack was sitting square on trunk.
  22. Hey Mike, Did I take that picture?
  23. Yes, what Chuck said. What about Yamaha of Louisville? http://www.yamahaoflouisville.com/index.htm
  24. Good news!
