  1. I called Garmin and they said that they had no problems but 3 units doing the same thing at the same time with no problems for a year then the same problems a year later it kind of makes me wonder?
  2. I have an 06 TDX and it squells like crazy and I checked the pads and with nothing wrong decided that when mine wore out tha I was going to EBC when these wore out.
  3. If anyone is using one of these have you recently had problems with the unit dieing and having to open battery door to get it to work again. I have one and it did this last year about this time and it's done it again this year. I first thought the unit was going out but when I returned home and talked with my brotherinlaw his did the same thing and my nephew also had the same problem about the same time and now we are all having the same problem again.
  4. The reservoir he's talking about is the brake but feel free to fill the stomach reservoir with beer as well:nanner:
  5. It don't matter the only thing that happens is they open the throttls air valves which doesn't do any thing excepts open the air valves but no gas since there is no vaccume to open the slides which open the main jets so no gas no problem.
  6. As big as the front tire is on these bikes does the front tire tend to hydroplane when you hit a puddle on the highway at speed? I used to ride a Vstar and it would send the water out like a speed boat with any sign of hydroplaning.
  7. The first bike I saw with a CT was an 1800 VTX Honda with 16" rim running a Goodyear very sharp looking tire. This tire may fit as the Honda has an enclosed shaft like the Venture. This is the best looking CT I've seen on a bike and the guy said it seemed to do OK with no complaints.
  8. My brother in law runs a car tire on his VTX 1300 Honda and really brags about the ride and handling. I have ridden with him and it does as good as a MC tire in the turns but it has much more traction when braking and starting. He had about 20,000 mi on it when he changed it after riding about 50 mi on a flat after the valve stem broke when he pulled the old tire it barely showed any sign of wear and was not hurt internaly by being run flat. The only thing I have noticed is a squirley feel when turning sharply at very low speeds. BTW let me know if you want to sell that tire.
  9. We've been using the Tire SealR for a couple of years and it is the same product I think it will balance tires as well and my brother in law is darkside and when he changed his last tire it had a nail and had never leaked. BTW he rode it on a flat for about 50 mi from broken valve stem with no damage to tire or bike.
  10. The mount for the luggage rack for the Tour Deluxe is different from the Vstar. The ones for the Vstar could be reworked by the manufacturer and mounted to the luggage rack clamp. The ones for the Venture looked like they clamped to grab bars one the Venture which the Tour Deluxe doesn't have. I even looked these up on the Yamaha parts manual but they mount to the trunk rack on the Venture.
  11. Does anyone know of any passenger arm rest outthere for an 06 Tour Deluxe?
  12. I noticed that you use ride on in your tires. I use a product called tire sealr by Berryman which has the same specs as ride on but only cost $10-12 per quart enought for 4 bike tires.
  13. I was out Geocaching with a friend and was leaving when I had a corn stalk come up over my floorboard while still under my front tire and the bike rode the stalk to the ground. Had to get off and pick the bike back up didn't know what happened until I got the bike back on it's wheels and saw the corn stalk.Just Lucky the bike wasn't hurt.
