  1. Hello: I did not see this post until this morning. After two seasons I finally called Cyclebrakes and ordered new SS lines for my bike. I dealt with the new owner Andy. Nice guy. I was originally going to order only the front brake lines, but he offered me a discount if I also purchased the clutch and rear brake lines as well. I did mention venturerider.org during our conversation. Just two days later I got an email indicating he had manufactured my new lines and they were being shipping out yesterday. Happy so far. Keep you posted
  2. Hello Don: Thanks for sharing. I too am relieved that health issues were not at the root. Best wishes to you both. I have to admit. Dingy and Brakepad made me laugh.
  3. Nice!!!!
  4. Brad was unable to find the ones he thought he had, so does anyone else have a parts bike or know of any side rails. Thanks....Mark
  5. 3 inches of wet snow here yesterday. Typical early spring weather.
  6. My stock seat was good for 50 miles before I became uncomfortable and sore after a 150 miles. After Rick's modification I can now ride 350 miles or more in a day without discomfort. Well worth the reasonable cost.
  7. Congrats!!
  8. Hello: I purchased a used 8x16 tandem trailer from a private owner several years ago. I have yet to haul any bikes in it. But I use it for everything else. I know you will never regret owning an enclosed trailer. So handy. It would depend on what you are pulling it with? I prefer tandem axles for safety. Less whipping action in my opinion. My bike is all of 9' long so I would suggest going with a longer trailer rather than shorter 10' model. Just my 2 cents. Keep us posted.
  9. Lucky you!!!! Give us a shout if you get anywhere close to us.
  10. Hello Bob: Here in Western Nebraska they use very little salt compared to your region. We have had some rain in past weeks and most of the well traveled roads are free of salt and sand. A little sooner than usual this year. Always a chance of more snow here. Not out of the woods until mid April.
  11. Hello Everyone: Mild weather here in Western Nebraska today. High in the low 60's. Documented mileage. Check tire pressures and fluid levels and put on the first 75 miles of the 2014 season. Hoping for lots more. Be sure to give us a shout if anyone passes this way this season.
  12. Just now beginning to warm up here. Sunny and 58 today.
  13. Hello Everyone: I hope all is well? Mild weather is just beginning here in Western Nebraska. Hoping for an enjoyable riding season. I purchased a used RSV Trunk rack during the winter. I do not wish to cut the pins on my RSTD side rails off. So I am in search of a used set of rear fender rails off of a RSV to bolt my RSV trunk rack and grab handles to. If anyone has a set or knows of a set. Please let me know. I found one set on ebay this morning, but wanted to ask here as well. Thanks....Mark
  14. Nice! Thanks for sharing.
  15. Many of us have replaced our bars with Flanders bars.
  16. Thanks for the invite. Never know where we might go this season.
  17. Congrats to you both!
  18. Good luck with your move. Keep us posted.
  19. Get all that done and ride west !!!
  20. Congrats. We purchased a very nice one owner 2012 Kia Optima 90 days ago. 27k miles. Really like the car, 35 mpg on turbo charged 4 cylinder, powerful, comfortable, heated and cooled leather, sharp looking, lots of bells and whistles for the money but disappointed that it does not handle even the smallest amount of snow very well. Considered going back to a Suv, test drove a 2014 High end Sorento, really liked it but the KIA dealer offered us $7500 dollars less than what we gave for the optima only 90 days ago. Looks like my wife will simply drive our Dodge Ram 4x4 in the winter and keep her nice Optima for summer travel.
  21. Hello: I have been off the site more this winter than usual. Just saw this post. I hope everything works out for you Don. I still hope to attend your MD in the future.
  22. Hello Brian: I like the looks of the new N44, but I think I still prefer the ability to raise my chin bar on my N103. I am always raising mine to visit, get a drink or get a better view downward as Annie mentioned. The N44 would work good for my wife, she prefers her 1/2 or 3/4 helmet due to weight, but sure could have used her N103 during inclement weather at times. Not enough room for all her helmets.
