  1. It's guys like this that give the decent riders a bad name , glad to hear nothing critical happened.
  2. Thanks for the information great site.
  3. How much would the speedo be out then
  4. :bang head:My tire size is 150-90B15 I want to go to an elite 3 it only comes in 150-85 v 15 the 85 and 90 is the difference but it shouldn't change the handling any?
  5. :2143:Prays and thoughts are with you all:2133:
  6. I've got a 05rstd I got better mileage as it got broke in 25000km and better at35000km I get around 40 to 43mpg with 1 up I also reset the carbs at about 5000 km.
  7. Thanks for the ideas I'm going to try the hair spray
  8. what kind of glue do some of you use to hold the new kuryakyn grip on , the one side I can't seem to get it to tighten completly.
  9. :thumbsup2: I have a 05rstd and the more I rie it the more I like it I have put on 50000kilometers. The whine seems to be a yamaha thing. I joined the club here and sure enjoy all the input, and the response is fast. Great bikes.
  10. :Venture:BJB that new venture would fix that cruise real good, just an idea:big-grin-emoticon:
  11. Glad to hear everybody alright, and all the best in recovering. It would be interesting the year the tire came off the mould.
  12. More miles you put on the beter your mileage should get.
  13. On my 05 rstd once I learned my distance I leave it on reserve all the time , my mechanic where I bought the bike said, the more you draw from the reserve the less trouble you may have with carburater trouble down the road. I keep an eye on where my milage is when my first line disapears. So far I haven't run out of fuel or had any problems. We are in kilometers but at 180 miles you probably should know where the fuel station is, that's if you are trveling at 70 or 75 mph. That't on straight streches in the curvey's you can go along way's.
  14. I have the 880's on my 05 rstd no problems yet I've got about 11,500 miles on. The ride from original bridgestone's is no comparison. They keep talking about them separating but they my have fixed that by now, hopefully.
  15. I put a set on my 2005 rstd last year . I put some tape on the lid then set the rail on the lid where you want it to sit, mark where to drill on the tape and drill then attach, it worked good for me. GOOD LUCK
