my dear YAMA BROTHERS here is a question that even the pros ( dealer) couldn't answear so i turn to my brothers. i have a 2003 midnight venture and i did the universal joint on in and when i remove the rear shock i also removed the air line attached to it and accidently spilled oil from inside the shock. does anyone know how much oil is in the shock or how much to put back in if the shock is completly empty thank you

hey big mike im about 5'7 inches and 220lbs with a 30 inch seem what i had done was get one of these upholstery guy to shave my seat down about 2 " and that worked great for me my heals are on the ground

:Venture:think no more my brother , once you get on a venture you life will change . you will actually enjoy it more the the honda i guarantee it ,i have a 2003 midnight venture and would not trade for anything else just like the rest of their a great bike , good looking , easy to maintain, and a lot of fun to ride . GO FOR IT you wont regreat it

sorry goose but when i say crank it i mean normal riding and shifting non of that beating up my bike stuff and ive only started having this problem last summer

hey everybody i need some help please i have a 2003 midnight venture with 87000 kl on it and i am the original owner. it vibrates when i cranck it in 3,4,5 gear . now im pretty sure that it could be the u joint on it but some other buddys have a difference of opinion on this as they say my carbs need to be sinked. so lets take a poll carbs or u joint

hey everyone just want to update my thread on my lighting problem . and i want to thank GEORGES for all his help and everyone else who gave me little bits and pieces well after taking my bike apart (YES APART) i finally followed all the instruction the georges gave me and found the problem with my short in the lighting system . it was the tail light L.E.D.board that i had put in way back in june of 2008 at lake george . apperently there are three wires coming out from the back of the board and somehow one of the wires got pinched wich was very difficult to see and everytime i screwed the cover back on one of the wires was getting tangled up around the screw. sounds simple enough but let me tell you i had two weeks of hell with that problem any how thanks for everyone the helped me out especially you george thank you

dan when you say the signal switch are you talking about the actual switch on the handlebars ???????

i have tackled the problem once again today with out any luck . i took the head light out today and looked behind every possible place for bare wire and all is good . so tomorrow i will try goerge's suggestions step by step . what i did do though is cut the wire from the fuse that is blowing and connecting a direct wire from the battery back to the fuse side not the harness side and ran it straight to the headlight and it worked without blowing a fuse . so tomorrow witll be more test . if worse comes to worse i will hook up the headlight with a different fuse getting power from the battery and take it from there

i still cant believe i haven't found the short in my lighting system. i am so frustrated now ........ i took apart my head light , my running lights my signal lights and looked at all the wiring harness and still no luck ...... what to do .... what to do
