unfortunately, no contact results in a no fault - Good luck with recovery and the resulting turmoil with insurance coverage -

didja makeit home OK ??

We just rolled in as well. Not to be redundant but Leadwolf56 and Sue did a GREAT job setting up and keeping things rolling for this the 5th anniversary of the International Rally. I suspect that when Robin gets to a computer there will be many pictures posted - I didn't get a head count but I'll bet someone did. I can't speak for anybody else but myself and my wife had a great time and we both met many new to us people and I can finally put a face to a name as long as crs doesn't kick in.

That's what I was wondering - The camera seems to be keeping up with the wing -

ooooops -

No - this darn thing wines sitting still - then it gets worse as the speed increases - 55 mph is the worst area and cruising at 65 70 coming back from RT was a real pain in the ear.
-
A friend of mine had one several years ago and had it so tricked out you would think it was a gator headlights, tail/brake lights, AM/FM and over sized tires. I wish I could remember the name of the Cart people that has all the neat stuff. Did you say and mean 25 mph ? pretty fast - Tiger would be envious

You know of course that dealers buy at WHOLESALE and sell at RETAIL - so his offer of $6200 can be increased by $2500 to $3000 for retail - depending on how clean, detailed etc your bike is.

I have used the Mobile 1 V Twin 2 times in my Venture - wasn't happy with either run. I just put in Suzuki Motorcycle racing oil that my Yammy shop recommended, still have a whine but I 'think' it's a little quieter. If it (whine) get's annoying, I'll try the Mobile 1 Racing 4T - not sure I've seen it anywhere tho -

With an attitude like that you will surely prevail However - if you don't mind I will still send a prayer or two your way for continued healing

Thanks - I wasn't sure about his intimate knowledge of oils
-
Ok - here's we go again. I was told that once I used Synthetic, I couldn't go back to regular oil. Should they have said SHOULDN'T ? instead of couldn't ?
-
I'm REALLY fortunate (I think ) in that our local yammy shop is a small one (4 mechanics) and I know the big bike mechanic as well as the 'hands on' owners. I talked to them once about it (the basket) but didn't insist on anything. Mark took my bike for a ride and said that it didn't seem to be any louder than some and not as loud as many. When I get back from Potato Creek, I'll take the bike up and have another talk with them. They said today that they weren't very busy so maybe it'll be a welcome repair. At this point, I'm convinced that my bike doesn't respond to different oils like some have said that their bike does. Here's the real killer, I've owned this Venture 2 1/2 years and I've changed the oil 6 times. Not bad for a traveler, but I've only put 7000 miles on it in that time.
-
Well I just changed the oil AGAIN !! I looked for shell Rotella T at Wally World, didn't have it. As a matter of fact this particular store wrinkled their nose when I asked about motorcycle oils. Went to my local Yamaha store and the parts clerk said that they use Suzuki 4 cycle synthetic Motorcycle racing oil in their shop for those that want synthetic and don't want to pay $20 a quart for YamaLube. So, guess what I put in this time ?? still has a whine and a chirp but I only got to go a couple miles for a test. I did notice that the whine is toned down somewhat (still at 55 mph) but I'll find out on a longer ride. I'll talk to my yammy mechanic in a week or so and see about getting a new "I" basket.
-
That's about the way I feel, I can put gas in it and change the oil - after that I'm pretty much lost
