New LOUD gear whine - opinions?

I had this done and mine isn't any better. Another issue that affects how much people are complaining of the "whine" is the helmet they wear. When I wear my full- or open-face helmet the "whine" doesn't bother me as much. BUT I prefer to wear my 3/4 helmet that has the foam/leather/insulation-type over the ears and not the fiberglass over the ear area. My 'whine' is deafening. -
Here's a reversal for you. My husband rides on the back of mine ... when I can get him to go.

I have a lowering kit that I don't need. It's for the rear of the RSV, and it lowers 1", but I can't tell you what brand it is. I'd sell it for $100.

I just got a 2000 Venture last Fall and the front brake pulsates. I am assuming the front rotor is out of round. Darn. I didn't want to have to buy a new rotor. My '97 Royal Star rotors are still fine and I never had to replace the rotors on any of my bikes. Can't imagine that it is any thing else causing the pulsating, but ... Anyone have any input on this?

I noticed that everyones' home state is indicated by the state flag. I find myself having to look them up (state flags). I know I should have memorized flags in some school assignment, but I was probably out riding a motorcycle when they were teaching about state flags. Just wondering if we could just have city and state written out?

I, too, am from the great lakes state (that's Michigan) and I do like the snow. I think it is gorgeous. But then, so too is that bike in the garage ... gorgeous. Just got it in the fall.

Is there anyway to reduce the tension in the clutch lever making it easier to pull? I'm starting to get arthritis in the hand and it's making it more difficult. Can't give up those long trips.

What do you think the narrower tire does for the bike? Does it make the front end seem lighter? lower to the ground? ???
