    Are you talking about the Elite III MV85HB-15? Dennis Kirk has free ground shipping on orders over $100, but they do have a $5 surcharge on tire shipments. E III = $124.99 + $5.00 surcharge = $129.99 shipped. That's the cheapest I can find, local shops all want $175. I'm going to order one next week

    My record for plugs in a tire on my truck is five. I've plugged tubeless motorcycle tires that lasted for thousands of miles afterward.

    A few days ago I was in Home Depot. I had ridden the scoot and it was a chilly evening, so I'm wearing chaps, leather coat, dew rag, neck bandana and my long gaunlet glove are hanging out of my pocket. I go to check out and the girl behind the counter says "riding a motorcycle, eh?". Nope, I reply. I just like leather............here's your sign.

    Is there any consensus on "low" silicate versus "no" silicate coolant? I notice that the manual doesn't stipulate a particular anti-freeze. So will any old juice work? Coming from a Honda, where they demand "no" silicate coolant and they say that any coolant with silicate will eat Honda water pump seals, is this a problem in the Yamie's?

    I had to go to Home Depot this evening, temp was 45* give or take with a brisk wind. Chaps over jeans, sweat shirt/leather jacket, gloves and sneakers along with a beanie helmet.......With all of this plastic in front of me I hardly noticed the weather, man do I like this bike. People were looking at me in the store like I was from another planet. It'll get a lot colder before I stop riding this mobile home on two wheels. That or the salt trucks will stop me. I saw three other riders out without windshield/fairings and them boys looked cooooollddd.

    The RSV that I just bought already had the badges removed when I got it. At first I didn't like it but now its grown on me. Plus it's good fun to have people walk up and say "wow, that's the quietest Harley I've ever seen":rotfl: Mine's not black/blue but here's a pic of it.

    If it's not too late to get in, I'd like to order a set, please and thank you. They look fantastic, I wonder it they'd take paint very well? Be a shame to cover up that shine though.

    Being an old rider but a new Venture guy, I've been reading every inch of this forum. My new to me 2000 RSV with 30K on the clock had a pronounced whine/chirp thru most of the rpm/gear ranges. Now I've only had this scoot for a couple of weeks and three hundred miles (hey work got in the way) and coming from an nice quiet Spirit 1100 this thing was loud. I too was skeptical of the whole "oil additive" thing, but I figured that it was worth a try if it might put a gag in this thing. Today stopped by Meijers and paid too much, $19 for 16 oz's, came home and drained the oil down 9 oz's (I changed the oil when I first brought it home and it was towards the top of the sight glass) and added 8 oz's of Motorkote. I fired up the scoot and let it warm up while I got my gear on. Out on the road the difference was immediate. Almost no noise until 45 and even then cut at least by 1/2. If my whine/chirp was a 9, now it's a 3 or 4 maybe even a 2. I only did 50 miles but if it stays like this I love this ride way more than I already did, and here's a strange kicker......I shut the bike down to move the wife's car so I could put the Venture back in the garage. When I restarted it the starter spun like it had 24 volts going to it! Or maybe it spun like the motor had lost all compression.....hope not. I know that it's way too early to make a good judgement on Motorkote, but WOW it sure seems to be doing something.
