  1. I read about replacement clutches from PCW and also about putting in an "I" basket. My question is, since I have a slipping problem only and not a whining problem, should I only replace the pressure plates or do the whole works. And is PCW the only answer other than Yamaha dealers.
  2. we had a large hail storm here the first part of may.I had heard of some people that put their cars in the hot sun and then rubbed them with dry ice, some of the dents came out.Other than that, find a good body shop.
  3. I have a 2004 second gen. and had replaced temp sensor last summer, however, on today's ride, the fan is not kicking on when it should. Can a toggle switch be installed to kick the fan in manually? Any suggestions as to why this is happening and what to do to remedy?
  4. Hi Sarge, Had mine out in 1996---just one of the parts that this old body has had taken out! Words of advice is to take it easy for a few months and re-introduce yourself slowly to all the good stuff we all love---let's see--gravy, fried foods, dairy, alcohol....!! Take 'er easy--Ginny
  5. Hi All, We just posted an album to our page of the International Rally...take a look. We also want to tell everyone that we had a great time meeting all of you...some we had met, some were new faces. Hope to see you all again and we look forward to making more new friends! Thanks to the committee for all their hard work, especially Lone Eagle! Enjoy the ride! :322:

  7. you might want to try early July, the reason being is it seams as though the rally ends up being a three week event, one week before and one week after. As fore the weather in early sept. I would think you would be fine. But since I live in south dakota one has go to deel with weather.
  8. september, after the leaves have changed, the crazies are gone and the kids are in school.
  9. Took the Cross Country for a ride this summer and it also banged and clanked when shifting. But the bike handled great.
  10. Having bought the saddle bag covers from Troy in the past, the covers you made look just as good, you should go in business.Nice job.
  11. I don't know if I did this correctly, but I have started an album under our profile. I think you can get to it by clicking on our "user name". It's got pix of the PIP. Ginny
  12. Hi All, We made it home about 2 this afternoon. Spent the night at the casino in Morton, MN last night...let's just say we contributed! Traveled with Tim and Debie until Sioux Falls. Quite a windy ride today. We just wanted to write to say thanks for Gary, Ann, Kris, Russ:stirthepot:, Wil and all for the work they put into PIP. This was our first experience at this and we met a lot of GREAT people, had a GREAT time and saw some GREAT scenery. I swear those trees tunred color every day. Now, it's back to the grindstone tomorrow. One good thing is that it's a short week! Take care all and will see if I can figure out how to post some pictures soon....be prepared for some of Dan and his cigar! Thanks again, Steve and Ginny (merrride)
