HELL EXPLAINED BY A CHEMISTRY STUDENT The following is an actual question given on a University of Arizona chemistry mid-term, and an actual answer turned in by a student. The answer by one student was so 'profound' that the professor shared it with colleagues via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well: Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following: First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving, which is unlikely. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities: 1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose. 2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over. So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Anabella during my Freshman year that, 'It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,' and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct..... ....leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Anabella kept shouting 'Oh my God.' THIS STUDENT RECEIVED AN A+.

Hey Rooster,, take the day off, return on Sunday,,, you'll enjoy the whole time and you'll find out what it is like to work to live, rather than, to live to work. Something I learned some time ago,,,, stick your finger in a glass of water and stir it around,, make a big splashing sound if you like, swirl it like you own it. ow pull your finger out and realize how peaceful things are when your not around. Makes one wonder sometimes I tell ya,,, so lately I'm missing more and more.

MHO: Yes, we are small and it depends on where the drivers is exactly focused will depend on exactly where they stop. If they are focused on the bike,, better chances, but if they are focused on something else,,, oopps! In the case that they might have mis-judged just a little, by and inch or so, my scoot, with me on it, will receive an impromptu tap from the rear which could have drastic results in the injury dept, not going to mention the time that will taken from riding in case it all turns out all right. So now, although it might not have been my fault, I'm still the poor sucker stuck with the aftermath, maybe just a wee little dent that can't be seen, but still,, who's on the hook for fixing it? Just the time involved isn't worth the non-effort. Preferably I'd like to come to a stop and pull away again on my own steam and not be shoved around by someone who thought that giving me a push would be a helping thing. When I was being taught how to drive truck, one of the big things was to have your right foot on the brake as you geared down. Two reasons, one the brake would come on and two, I wouldn't be pushing the gas when in gear and so screw up the slowing process. I still think those are good points. On the other hand, it might be a bit more difficult to blip the throttle as you slow down if you practise this technique, and I know just how very important that procedure is to the proper operation of a motorcycle, especially if your lucky enough to be stuck with loud pipes, after all, you don't want them to get plugged up now eh??

Well if that's the case then it would be in the right hands to be dissected, analyzed and be rendered totally repairable by the time I get through it. What's the problem?

Glad you are still around to tell the story,, something we can all put in our pipe and smoke. As I read your story, I noticed that you said you were hard on the brakes, and that you were doing 60mph when you hit,,, does that mean you were going faster than 60mph when you seen the deer?

Works for me,, now why couldn't I do that?

Nice thing about stock, is that they are straight through, except for the baffles, which can easily enough be drilled out and it may be just what you are looking for.

I thought that maybe it was a southern thing,,, but HEY!! I got it as well,,, somebody will fix it I'm sure!

Maybe what would be easier and cheaper, and wouldn't put a draw on the system, would be those newfangled things they have now. Somehow you put these in a tight spot somewhere, and then turn them on,,, some even have a volume level button on them. 'course you would have to have a second gen for these to work,, a first gen would be tooo fast I'm sure.

You need to have the airbox and filter in place for it to run well. Also for doing a carb sync.

Wow,,, you have been reflecting the goodness of the Creator for 48 years,,, you have been blessed for sure. What a wonderful position to be in. You must practise love a lot,, the giving of oneself to the other, and so live in security for the future, always knowing that the vows you made were not made lightly.
