I would use blue loctite and and just make them tight. Too much torque here will strip out the threads in the aluminum.

If you can pressurize the system and be able to keep an eye on the pressure, then that is going to be helpful. I would start with coolant in the system, that way something has to show up somewhere,,, right? ya right!, but that's what I would think anyways. If you pressurize without coolant, be sure to remove the spark plugs so that area will be covered as well. Keep us posted.

Hi All. Just to get you all thinking about the last day of this month. That would be the 30th and of course the 29th because that is what this thread is all about. From past experience this is my thinking for this year: On the 29th, early in the morning, we gather at the Casablanca exit on QEW Niagara ready to leave at 9am. With any luck that should get us into the Oberlin area in time for supper and hopefully there will be some food left. My plan would be to cross the Rainbow bridge in the Falls, then take I90 from there, then 90 to Cleveland. A stop could be arranged at the Angola service center, another around Erie for lunch, then just short of Cleveland and then Elyria, check in and then go for supper. If we end up being late, we'll check in later. As per usual,,, comments will be allowed.

First off let it suck the bottle dry and see if the rad goes down and keeps going down. That can tell you where the leak might be, system or overflow.

You started a new thread, so refresh us on the some of the issue. How much are you loosing? When do you seem to be loosing it,,, sitting or riding? Does it stay up during a ride or are you loosing it while riding? Are you checking the bottle and the rad?

Put some wheels on that boat,,, then drive it over there,, wouldn't have any problem with that in NewFoundLand.
